Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nyamondi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Arghei's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Arghei's back! Arghei controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Nyamondi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nyamondi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rexum keeps the fight on the outside. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rexum. Clark works the jab nicely. Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rexum paws at him with a jab and circles away. Clark closes the distance but Rexum moves to the side letting Rexum counter with a right hand. Rexum looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rexum trying to mount his opponent but Clark defends it. Rexum trying to control the action but Clark is working from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rexum tries to pass to full mount but Clark defends it. Clark is trying to stand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gage shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cartman as he jumps to the side. Cartman gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cartman scores with a shot to the side of Gage's head. Cartman tries to break free but Gage pushes him back against the cage. Cartman taking a breather. A battle for position here, against the cage. Cartman working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Gage with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Cartman creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Gage's defenses.
It looks like Stan Gage has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by Cartman. The referee is keeping an eye on Cartman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cartman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Cartman lands a hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gage avoids a wild elbow strike from Cartman. Gage is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cartman pulls him back up using the underhooks. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Cartman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naar keeps the fight on the outside. Naar cracks the inside of Magakian's front leg. Magakian throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Schulz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vredenburg. Vredenburg on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Schulz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vredenburg connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Schulz scrambles back to his feet. Vredenburg blocks a jab. Vredenburg slips under a jab from Schulz. Schulz misses with a straight left. Schulz misses with a straight right. Vredenburg avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Schulz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Vredenburg takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schulz throws a nice looking combination but Vredenburg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Vredenburg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Saruwatari throws a leg kick but Sutherland checks it. Sutherland misses the shot to the body. Saruwatari misses with a lunging right hand
and Sutherland counters with a left to the body. Saruwatari tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sutherland swats him away and circles back towards the center. Saruwatari throws a push kick but Sutherland slaps the foot to one side. Sutherland throws a nice outside leg kick. Saruwatari will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

No damage this time. Sutherland has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sutherland is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sutherland cracks Saruwatari with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Nice takedown defense from Saruwatari. No joy for Sutherland on that attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sutherland on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Sutherland lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sutherland.
