2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zoran Lippo! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Lippo. Lippo rushes Carneiro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Carneiro is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lippo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Carneiro throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lippo thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lippo keeping full guard, as Carneiro tries to pass. Lippo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carneiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lippo pulls Carneiro in close to prevent any damage. Carneiro stops Lippo from standing up. Carneiro has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carneiro chips away with some ground and pound. Lippo is looking to sweep but instead, Carneiro has passed into half guard.
Lippo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Carneiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lippo! Carneiro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lippo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Lippo is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carneiro trying to control but Lippo is having none of it. Lippo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lippo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Lippo wanted to stand there but Carneiro had control of the position. Lippo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lippo tries to free his leg and advance position but Carneiro is retaining full guard. Lippo lying in Carneiro's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Carneiro decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Lippo taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rafael Carneiro! A determined Rafael Carneiro didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dantibo fails with a takedown attempt. Dantibo shoots and misses and Barksdale counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dantibo won't be happy with that. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dantibo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barksdale works his way to his opponent's back.
Dantibo is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Barksdale is looking to control Dantibo but Dantibo is wriggling around and keeping busy. Barksdale has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dantibo fending off the submission attempt from Barksdale. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dantibo looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barksdale sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Dantibo taps out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A slapping body kick lands there for Silva. Matei takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Matei swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Silva checks a leg kick. Silva lands with a kick to the temple. Matei shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Matei cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs. Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Matei moves out of range easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Matei shoots in but no luck this time. Matei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Matei swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A looping hook to the body misses from Matei. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet. Silva lands a head kick. Matei smiles back at him and beckons him forward. A low kick from Matei is predictable there and Silva counters with a thumping low kick. Matei fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Matei throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot. Silva lands a big head kick that sends Matei tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Matei back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Matei is rocked!
It looks like Marius Matei has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Oh Matei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Silva scores with a push kick. Matei is breathing heavily. Silva throws a quick head kick that knocks Matei silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Silva is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nate looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nate swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Nate enables Talentti to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nate manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Talentti drops back looking for a leg! Nate is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nate manages to kick Talentti off! Talentti jumps back into Nate's guard. Talentti advances to half guard. Nate has hold of Talentti's hands but Talentti slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Talentti looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Talentti closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nate's guard. Talentti drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Talentti jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nate is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Talentti is controlling him. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Talentti throwing strikes from guard but Nate blocks nicely. Talentti is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Talentti drops back looking for a leg! Talentti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nate swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nate rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Talentti working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Talentti ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Talentti shoots for a takedown but Nate saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Talentti throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nate's waist but Nate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Talentti off to one side. Nate throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Talentti counters with a takedown into side control. Nate is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Talentti in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Talentti thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Nate wants to get back to his feet. Check out the look on Talentti's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Teemu Yumma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yumma misses with a left hand and Vogelpohl counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Yumma throws a head kick that misses and Vogelpohl counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Vogelpohl missing with a left hand there. Yumma was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A looping hook to the body misses from Yumma. Vogelpohl does a little dance to reset his feet. Yumma throws a sloppy head kick and Vogelpohl moves out of range easily. Vogelpohl just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vogelpohl jabs Yumma to the body, keeping him at a distance. Yumma clinches. Yumma wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vogelpohl avoids a wild elbow strike from Yumma. Vogelpohl pressing his opponent against the cage. Vogelpohl has hold of one of Yumma's legs. Yumma is fighting the takedown attempt but Vogelpohl gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Vogelpohl prevents Yumma from getting back to his feet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vogelpohl accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Yumma wants to get back to his feet but Vogelpohl is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Yumma is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Yumma wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Vogelpohl manages to pass to side control.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vogelpohl seems to be working for a kimura but Yumma defends the submission attempt. Yumma is trying to stand up here but Vogelpohl is controlling him well. Vogelpohl wants to free his trapped foot but Yumma is holding on for dear life with his legs. Yumma looks like he's trying to stand up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kirk Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sonni lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gracie's sensitive parts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wang is looking to slow Van Der Moot down with leg kicks. Van Der Moot misses with a two punch combination.
Van Der Moot connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wang momentarily.
Van Der Moot tries to bum rush Wang with a series of wild strikes but Wang uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Van Der Moot jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
