Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Leigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drake kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blitzkrieg Bop. Leigh has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Leigh! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leigh throws a leg kick and Drake counters with a right hand to the body. Leigh looks winded! Drake misses with a body kick. Leigh thows a body shot but no joy. Drake punishes Leigh's body with a nice straight punch. Drake connects with a body shot that sends Leigh's belly button to the back. This has been an exciting period of action! Leigh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drake.
Leigh drops his hands momentarily. Drake doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Leigh staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Leigh doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Danneskjold pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fighters circling - Hoy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Danneskjold misses with a head kick.
Danneskjold misses with a hook. Hoy ducked under it nicely. Hoy throws a looping overhand right but Danneskjold ducks down to avoid it. Hoy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Danneskjold. Danneskjold shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoy sprawls well. He's pushed Danneskjold's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Danneskjold throws a right and a left that both miss. Hoy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

And that's the end of the fight! Lath Hoy showed his dominance in that final round. I think Danneskjold has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kirby throws out a loose jab but Boban uses good head movement to avoid it. Kirby throws a lazy right hand but Boban sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. John Kirby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boban throws a shot to the body.
Kirby comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kirby connects with a right hand. Boban shakes it off. Boban feints and then cracks Kirby's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kirby down. Kirby misses with a hook. Boban ducked under it nicely. Boban displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kirby throws out the jab. Kirby lands with an uppercut that bounces Boban off the cage and back into range. Boban tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kirby swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boban tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kirby was well out of range. Poor timing from Boban. Kirby looks to land a left hand but Boban moved out of range nicely. A jab from Kirby does it's job there.

Boban takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Boban takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kirby connects with the punch. Boban shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Kirby dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kirby throws a right and a left that Boban avoids nicely. Boban shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kirby eats them both and turns towards Boban to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Kirby connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Boban momentarily.

Kirby is pawing at Boban, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Boban's nose. Boban is badly hurt! Kirby pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Boban tries desperately to hold on but Kirby is relentless in his assault! As Boban receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Kirby away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Kirby! John Kirby looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'I love it guys! I'm not retiring until I'm 45! I do this because I enjoy it! I love my fans, and thank you for sticking with me!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Bernard lands but Egill takes it in his stride. Nick Egill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bernard lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Egill throws a lazy head kick and Bernard counters by clinching up. Egill is looking to break free of the clinch but Bernard has double underhooks. Bernard throws a knee to the head but misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bernard tries to land knees in the clinch but Egill avoids the damage to the body. Bernard can't find room to land a body shot as Egill controls the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cao misses with a straight right. Storm lands with a hook. Cao tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Cao throws a jab but it's blocked by Storm. Cao misses with a wild body shot. Johnny Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cao throws a left and a right that both miss
and Storm counters with a straight right hand. A solid leg kick lands there for Storm.
Storm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cao will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cao throws a right hand that Storm ducks under and follows up with a left that Storm also avoids with ease. Cao throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cao lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A looping hook to the body misses from Cao. Storm does a little dance to reset his feet. Storm dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cao. That did some damage! Storm looks to score with a jab to the body but Cao is just out of range. Storm throws a hook to the side of Cao's head but Cao sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Storm uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cao has time to react. Storm takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Cao misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cao will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cao on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Cao keeps the fight on the outside. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cao avoids a kick to the body.
Storm fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cao has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cao is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Decent striking displayed by Storm there. Storm gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cao tries a body shot but Storm blocks it.

Cao is trying to force a seperation but Storm has the dominant position. Cao will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Storm up against the cage. Storm fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That had to hurt Cao. Cao ducks under a wild hook from Storm. Storm tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cao counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Cao. Storm lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cao will feel that in the morning. Storm goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Storm uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cao has time to react. Cao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Storm.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Storm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Storm has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Julios has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Tanghe is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Tanghe is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Julios.
