We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Liston is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vorobiov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vorobiov's back!

Malaki throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Valderrama's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Malaki dives in looking to finish as Valderrama flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Malaki's strikes! Malaki is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Valderrama's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Valderrama was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
