The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldesberg looks to land a left hand but Macbeth moved out of range nicely. Macbeth blocks a jab. Macbeth takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Aldesberg tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Macbeth was well out of range. Poor timing from Aldesberg. Aldesberg just misses with a punch to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davey closes the distance and pushes Shaco back into the cage. Shaco looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Davey tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Shaco's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shaco paws at him with a jab and circles away. A solid leg kick lands there for Davey.
Shaco takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Davey tries to throw a body punch but Shaco avoids it by throwing Davey back against the cage. Davey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Davey connects with a nice looking jab.
Davey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shaco closes the distance and clinches up with Davey, looking for a takedown. Shaco pushes Davey against the cage but Davey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Davey misses with a wild combination.
Reem Davey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davey scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaco fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Davey moves in looking to clinch but Shaco pushes him off. Davey tries to clinch but Shaco is having none of it. Davey slaps away a takedown attempt from Shaco, before circling back to the center of the mat. Reem Davey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asylum Shaco. Shaco shoots in looking for a takedown but Davey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shaco's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shaco fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shaco dodges the punch combination from Davey.
Davey looks for the body kick but Shaco saw that one coming. Davey misses with a low kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Shaco checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Davey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Davey stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davey wants it to stay on the feet. Davey looks to land a combination but Shaco avoids it well. Shaco takes one to the chin there. Shaco misses with a takedown attempt - Davey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shaco is trying desperately to land a takedown but Davey is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Shaco. Nice takedown defense from Davey. No joy for Shaco on that attempt. Shaco looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shaco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davey avoids it really well and circles away. Davey tries to clinch up but Shaco circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davey throws out a leg kick but Shaco moves out of range and Davey only half commits. Davey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Shaco shoots in for a double leg but Davey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shaco. Davey doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaco circles away.
Shaco keeps the fight on the outside. Davey misses with a leg kick. Davey lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shaco backs up against the cage.
Davey throws a combination. Shaco tries to block but a couple of punches get through. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davey looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Davey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shaco moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Shaco shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davey works over Shaco's head and body with a nice combination. Davey clinches up with Shaco and pushes him back against the cage. Davey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Davey defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shaco. Shaco tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davey swivels and escapes. Davey throws a head kick but Shaco moves out of range.
Shaco swats away the attempt to clinch by Davey. Shaco chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Davey can pounce on him.
Davey misses with a low kick as Shaco jumps back. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davey throws a right and a left that both miss. Davey cracks Shaco with a good jab. Davey throws a low kick but Shaco moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaco misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shaco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davey pinned against the cage. Davey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Davey drops Shaco with a left and a right! Oh, Shaco is hurt - Davey dives into side control looking to finish!

It looks like Asylum Shaco has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shaco is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Davey off and has taken his back! Davey tries to escape the position.
Davey is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Shaco gets his way!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Ribeiro. McDaniel fails to land with a series of punches.
Ribeiro walks into a left hand. McDaniel scores with a jab to the head.
McDaniel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ribeiro on the side of the head. Ribeiro gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Ribeiro fails with a takedown attempt. Ribeiro shoots in looking for a takedown. McDaniel tries to sprawl out of it but Ribeiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McDaniel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ribeiro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horrible takedown by Ribeiro or perhaps it was just good defense by McDaniel which made him look bad.

McDaniel darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ribeiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McDaniel's waist but McDaniel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ribeiro off to one side. Ribeiro looks for a takedown but McDaniel sprawls well. Ribeiro takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Goon. No joy for Thomas on that attempt. A low kick from Thomas is predictable there and Goon counters with a low kick, right behind Thomas 's knee. Thomas shoots for a takedown but Goon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Thomas scores with a takedown into Goon's guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Thomas is looking to stand up but Goon won't let him. Thomas gets to his feet - Goon follows without any prompting. Thomas is looking to clinch. Thomas dives in and scores a takedown into Goon's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Goon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Thomas is controlling him. Thomas wants to pass the guard but Goon is keeping the position.

Goon leaves Thomas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sho Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Thomas. Nice body kick there by Thomas. Goon swats away the attempt to clinch by Thomas. Goon moves out of range of the body kick. Thomas won't allow Goon to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas cracks Goon with a solid left hand.

Roy Thomas has got the better of the ground game so far. Thomas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Goon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. Awa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Awa is looking to chop away at Khan's legs. Khan moves out of range as Awa throws a body kick.
Awa misses with a straight left. Awa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Awa misses with a body shot.

Khan moves in looking to clinch but Awa pushes him off. A combination from Awa does no damage. Awa misses the shot to the body. Awa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Khan. Awa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Ricardo Awa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Awa. Will he be able to recover?!! Khan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Awa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Khan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Khan stands up and waves to Awa to follow him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romero throws a hook to the side of Folsom's head but Folsom sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Folsom misses with a leg kick. Romero misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rodniel Romero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romero keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Romero shoots in and drives through. Folsom sprawls well. Folsom lands a head kick. Romero smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Romero misses with a double jab
and Romero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Rodniel Romero has been cut. Romero throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Folsom takes a swing at Romero's ribcage but misses. Folsom throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Romero misses with the combination.

Folsom slips a straight right by Romero. Folsom takes a swing at Romero's ribcage but misses. Folsom scores with a decent looking hook. Folsom circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero closes the distance and lands a one-two. Folsom dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Romero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Folsom as he avoids it easily. Folsom really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Romero looks to land a left hand but Folsom moved out of range nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Romero. Xavier Folsom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodniel Romero. Romero lands with a right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Folsom avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Folsom is looking to wear down Romero with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Romero misses with a jab, cross combination.
Romero moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Romero is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Folsom uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Romero.

Folsom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mishima has his takedown stuffed enabling Sweatpants to counter with a crisp jab. Mishima gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sweatpants counters with a left and a right... And another left! Mishima is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Smith shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wilson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilson off to one side. Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nice defenses there by Wilson. Wilson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Smith gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wilson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilson throws a big elbow that misses. Smith throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Smith keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. Wilson is looking to advance position but Smith has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Smith breaks from Wilson's wrist control and lands an elbow.
