The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Santan is defended easily by Sword.

and Sword counters with a nice double leg into side control. Santan won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sword happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kjell Sword tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
