1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damien Wayne! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wayne shoots in for a takedown but Jeetjutsu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jeetjutsu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jeetjutsu wants to clinch. Jeetjutsu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Wayne tries to lock up and control but Jeetjutsu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wayne holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jeetjutsu tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jeetjutsu looking to secure an arm triangle but Wayne defends it well. Wayne is looking to improve his position but Jeetjutsu isn't that keen on the idea. Jeetjutsu swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russell tries to keep at a distance but Vanhorn has taken the fight into the clinch. Vanhorn is trying to pull guard but Russell has him pressed against the cage. Vanhorn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Russell creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Vanhorn's defenses.
It looks like Lex Vanhorn has been cut. Vanhorn fails to pull the fight into his guard.

and Darko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Randjob Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Darko misses with the combination.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lagoo scores with a nice right hand.
Redshaw moves away from the strike by Lagoo. Lagoo looks to land a right hand but Redshaw moved out of range. Lagoo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lagoo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Redshaw.
Redshaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lagoo. Lagoo thuds his right hand into Redshaw's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Redshaw tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lagoo was well out of range. Poor timing from Redshaw. Nice takedown defense from Lagoo. No joy for Redshaw on that attempt. Lagoo throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Lagoo throws a lazy right hand but Redshaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lagoo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Redshaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lagoo somewhat. Lagoo moves forwards but Redshaw connects with a nice, crisp jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lagoo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redshaw takes the fight into the clinch. A short left from Redshaw. Redshaw tries to work over Lagoo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Redshaw tries to land knees in the clinch but Lagoo avoids the damage to the body. Redshaw tries a body shot but Lagoo blocks it.

Redshaw using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lagoo has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Redshaw. Redshaw turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Redshaw creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lagoo sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Lagoo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lagoo tries to roll over but Redshaw keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lagoo controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Redshaw stops Lagoo from getting back to his feet.
Redshaw scoring with strikes to the body and head. Redshaw drops an elbow to the side of Lagoo's head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lagoo wants to get back to his feet. Redshaw lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Lagoo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Redshaw is working away from the top position though. Redshaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lagoo's head. Lagoo blocking the ground and pound attempt from Redshaw. Redshaw scoring with strikes to the body and head. Lagoo trying to control from the bottom.
Redshaw looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lagoo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Redshaw moves into full mount! Lagoo won't be happy about that! Redshaw with the ground and pound from mount. Redshaw in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

He lands one big shot that has Lagoo covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Leighty throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Muscle walks forward, straight into a front kick from Leighty. Muscle misses with an uppercut
and Leighty counters with a straight right hand. Leighty is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Leighty lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Muscle wants to clinch. A good leg kick by Leighty. A chopping leg kick lands by Leighty. Leighty keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Muscle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leighty sprawls well. Leighty wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Muscle gets slowly back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Leighty takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muscle takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Leighty thows a body kick. Muscle tries to catch it but that hurt him. Muscle shoots in but no luck this time. Dan Leighty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruscle Muscle. Leighty lands a nice leg kick that just misses Muscle's sensitive parts. A big left from Muscle misses. Muscle throws a front kick aimed at Leighty's knee but Leighty avoids it well. Leighty jabs Muscle right on the nose. Muscle blinks but takes it well. Muscle scores with a jab to the body. Leighty moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Ruscle Muscle has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leighty paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A solid body kick from Leighty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leighty uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Muscle. Muscle shoots for a takedown but Leighty saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Leighty throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Leighty tries to land a front kick but Muscle steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Muscle throws a body punch but Leighty moves out of range. A jab from Leighty does it's job there. Leighty looks to land a body kick but Muscle moved away. Leighty fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Muscle looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Muscle misses with an uppercut. Muscle looks to land a body kick but Leighty moved away. Leighty stuffs the takedown attempt from Muscle. Muscle gets slowly back to his feet. Muscle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muscle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Muscle tries to land a knee to the head but Leighty blocks with his arms.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. A shot in the inside from Leighty. Leighty lands an uppercut. A short uppercut from Leighty. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Leighty creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Leighty digs a right hand into Muscle's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Muscle's gas tank. Muscle looks winded! Leighty lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Muscle backwards. Leighty lands on the inside with an uppercut. A nice left hand lands by Leighty.

Wazed shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Benoit as he jumps to the side. Benoit scores with a three punch combo!

Matsumoto has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Matsumoto with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Matsumoto wants to control from the top but Hudson keeps moving. Matsumoto seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hudson controls Matsumoto momentarily but Matsumoto frees himself.
