Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Trainer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastaio Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trainer comes to the cage accompanied by Nas - Hate Me Now. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carvalho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Trainer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Carvalho wants to pass the guard but Trainer is keeping the position. Trainer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Trainer looking for subs off his back but Carvalho has passed one foot through into half guard.
Carvalho is nestled in close to Trainer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Carvalho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Trainer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Carvalho missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Carvalho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Trainer is trying to stand back up but Carvalho is controlling him

Diaz swings and misses with a shot to the body and Silva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Silva swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Diaz throws a wild hook but Silva just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Diaz gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Silva raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Bo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ortiz. Bo gets the takedown into side control. Bo tries for a kimura but Ortiz is defending well. Ortiz is trying to control Bo's posture but Bo avoids it. Ortiz gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Serra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Serra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there. Wallace is looking to stand up but Serra won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kakihara Wallace. Serra works the jab nicely. Serra just misses with a punch to the body.
Serra takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Serra throws a good cross that connects.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Serra walks into a stiff left hand from Wallace. Wallace throws a series of punches but Serra moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallace connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Wallace takes one to the chin there.
