Anton shoots in and bounces Pott off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barnes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kirijenko was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.
Kirijenko tries to score with a low kick but Barnes moves his leg out of the way.
Kirijenko misses with a two punch combination.
Kirijenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Barnes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kirijenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Nate Barnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyov Kirijenko.
Barnes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kirijenko manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kirijenko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Barnes is staying active underneath Kirijenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lyov Kirijenko hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
