The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Listenoise misses with an uppercut
and Maka counters with a single leg into guard. Listenoise didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maka prevents Listenoise from getting back to his feet. Maka throwing strikes from guard but Listenoise blocks nicely. Maka stands up and waves to Listenoise to follow him. Maka avoids the body shot from Listenoise.
Listenoise pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Maka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Listenoise sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Listenoise tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maka was well out of range. Poor timing from Listenoise. Listenoise throws a poor cross that misses

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maka moves into the clinch successfully.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a takedown and Moneymaker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Jones keeping full guard, as Moneymaker tries to pass. Moneymaker trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Moneymaker postures up.
Jones is working an open guard so Moneymaker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones drives through with a takedown into Moneymaker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moneymaker gets caught napping as Jones dives in and scores a takedown. Moneymaker manages to retain guard. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Moneymaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jonesis looking to pass into half guard but Moneymaker pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Moneymaker is in guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moneymaker is one step ahead there. The fight stays on the outside here - Moneymaker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones shoots in but Moneymaker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moneymaker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Angel Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moneymaker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Moneymaker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Moneymaker. An inside leg kick lands from Moneymaker. Angel Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones is rocked! Moneymaker drops Jones with a left right combo! Moneymaker follows him down to the ground into side control.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moneymaker decides to stand back up. Moneymaker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Jones has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Moneymaker has good solid back control here. Moneymaker trying to control. Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johan Moneymaker wasn't active enough on the ground. Jones doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moneymaker counters with a one-two to the body.

The fight stays on the outside here - Moneymaker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Moneymaker pushes down on Jones's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is trying to get back to full guard. Moneymaker works his way into full mount! Moneymaker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Moneymaker stands up from mount. Strange move. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moneymaker tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moneymaker to the ground. Moneymaker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.

Moneymaker stands up from Jones's guard - Moneymaker perhaps looking for a knockout. Moneymaker moves into range and clinches up with Jones. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Moneymaker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jones's defenses. Johan Moneymaker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. A nice glancing elbow lands by Moneymaker. Angel Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Moneymaker uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! Johan Moneymaker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Moneymaker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cruz tries to clinch there but Riordan circles away.
Riordan moves into range and clinches up with Cruz. Riordan is trying to drag Cruz to the mat but Cruz just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cruz tries to pull guard but Riordan holds him up against the cage and eventually Cruz drops back down to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Craig David has been cut. Peters throws a right and a left that David avoids nicely. Peters fails to land with a series of punches.
David darts in trying to clinch and Peters counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. An inside leg kick lands from Peters. David Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peters misses with the combination.
David shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Peters sprawls well. Peters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. David gets slowly back to his feet. Peters with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peters lands a big head kick that sends David tumbling to the mat! Peters takes a step backwards and waves David back to his feet - he wants the finish! David shoots in for a double leg but Peters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooh!!! Peters has knocked David down with a huge combo! Peters steps away and waves a wobbly David back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Craig David's cut even more. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Peters goes for a small jab and connects. Now Peters goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! David stumbles back but Peters runs in with a huge uppercut knocking David to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if David will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
