and Siwon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kate tries to land a front kick but Siwon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kate tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kate tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Siwon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kate connects with a solid leg kick. Kate fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Siwon manages to avoid it. Kate lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kate. Kate will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gage Bashor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Turnham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gage Bashor had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Bashor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bashor tries to land a leg kick but Turnham saw it coming and moves away.
Turnham misses with a low kick. Bashor tries to score with a low kick but Turnham moves his leg out of the way. A head kick by Turnham misses and Bashor counters with a nice leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Turnham fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crunch! Turnham slams his shin into Bashor's torso. Turnham keeps the fight on the outside. Turnham shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bashor defends it nicely. Turnham throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Bashor holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

That's going to take a lot out of Shane Turnham. Turnham with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bashor to score with a decent uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No luck with that takedown attempt from Turnham. Turnham shoots in for a takedown but Bashor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Turnham tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bashor swivels and escapes. Turnham throws a right and a left that Bashor avoids nicely. Gage Bashor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ling lands with a good body shot. Chestnut checks a leg kick. Ling missing with a left hand there. Chestnut was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Ling swats away the attempt to clinch by Chestnut. Ling checks a leg kick nicely. Chestnut misses with a straight right. Chestnut ducks under a wild hook from Ling. Chestnut has his takedown stuffed and Ling counters with a stiff right hand. Walter Chestnut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
