Undercard bout

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yujigato Kimo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watts is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Breaking Benjaim- I waill not Bow. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimo throws a head kick but Watts moves out of range.

Kimo has Watts up against the cage in a clinch.
Watts is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Watts is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kimo is defending well.
Watts goes for a takedown attempt but Kimo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Watts tries to sprawl but Kimo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Watts is staying active underneath Kimo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kimo is thwarting Watts's attempts to control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kimo in particular looking to stall.

Watts has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kimo escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kimo!

Kimo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Watts can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kimo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Watts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kimo has managed to get both his arms back between Watts's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yujigato Kimo will probably get the nod.

and Hennard counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dowdak won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Hennard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dowdak knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dowdak gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hennard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hennard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hennard pushes down on Dowdak's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Watts is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harris is trying to escape the position but Watts is controlling the position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Watts has hold of Harris's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Harris tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Watts cranks the arm and Harris screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Harris, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Sho Goon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ewan Turnbull.

Goon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Goon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's time! Goon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Turnbull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goon tries to avoid it but Turnbull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goon to the ground. Goon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Goon dives in and grabs Turnbull's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turnbull pushes down on Goon's head and hops out.

Goon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turnbull looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goon wants to control but Turnbull is keeping him busy.

Turnbull is pushing Goon's head away, looking to escape. Goon manages to hold on to the position though.

Goon in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Turnbull is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
