Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manus Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Silverman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Grant might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thunderstruck - AC/DC. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manus Grant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Silverman! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant scores with a punch to the head. Grant throws a jab but it's blocked by Silverman. Grant misses with a body shot.
Grant swings and misses with a shot to the body and Silverman counters with a lovely straight right hand! Grant throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grant misses with a double jab
and Grant takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Grant takes a swing at Silverman's ribcage but misses. Silverman bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Grant's head backwards. Grant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silverman was well out of range. Poor timing from Grant. Silverman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Grant to the ground. Silverman is now in Grant's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Grant keeping full guard, as Silverman tries to pass. Grant is trying to keep Silverman in close.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grant lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silverman! Silverman is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant wants to control the pace but Silverman is squirming around nicely. Grant is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silverman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Silverman is looking to improve his position but Grant isn't that keen on the idea. Grant looking to control but Silverman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant controlling the pace for now. Grant trying to control but Silverman is having none of it. Grant tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Manus Grant wasn't doing enough on the ground. Grant misses with a body shot.
Silverman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silverman working the head and body with strikes. Grant regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Silverman. Silverman works a leg free and moves into half guard. Silverman is working for a submission of some sort.
Grant pushes Silverman off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant misses the shot to the body. Grant ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Silverman scores with a spinning back kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silverman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grant is looking to wear down Silverman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. No joy there for Silverman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silverman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grant swivels and escapes. Grant rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silverman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Grant misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silverman.
Grant swings and misses with a shot to the body and Silverman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Silverman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silverman looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grant's guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Grant bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Manus Grant is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silverman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Grant sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silverman somewhat. Manus Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grant thuds his right hand into Silverman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Manus Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A combination from Silverman does no damage. Grant lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Grant is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Silverman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Silverman misses with a takedown attempt and Grant counters with a two punch combo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grant has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silverman finds it's way round the side to connect with Grant's head. Manus Grant is winning the standup battle so far. Grant tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Silverman is able to avoid easily. Silverman avoids the body shot from Grant.

Grant lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jab by Grant. Grant closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Grant throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Silverman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Grant is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Grant struggling a bit here. Silverman goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Grant rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silverman's guard! Nice work there by Grant! Grant looking to sit in guard and control but Silverman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silverman looking to pass the guard. Grant tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silverman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Grant is trying to keep Silverman in close.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silverman trying to control but Grant is working from the bottom. It looks like Kenshi Zuko has been cut. Bourne throws a solid leg kick but Zuko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bourne. Zuko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bourne trying to control but Zuko postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Zuko in particular looking to stall. Bourne regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Zuko. Zuko has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Bourne to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Zuko is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Bourne pulls down on the head and he's put Zuko to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jason Bourne! After winning the bout, Jason Bourne thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Nice straight punches there by Zilva. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zilva. Zilva keeps the fight on the outside. Akiyama is looking to clinch but Zilva is avoiding it.

Akiyama is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Akiyama looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Zilva connects with a slap. Zilva has his feet on Akiyama's thighs here. He's pushed Akiyama off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Akiyama screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker lands a glancing blow to the side of Cube's head. Cube throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cube drops his hands momentarily and Walker takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Cube wants to clinch. Cube moves into the clinch. Walker lands with a light punch inside. Cube throws a punch but it's blocked by Walker. Walker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Cube has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Cube wants a takedown but no success here.
Walker misses with a punch to the body.
A short right from Walker. Walker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Cube is working for takedown but Walker is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ice Cube. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cube looking for a takedown. Cube pulls guard effortlessly. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Cube says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Cube shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side. Cube has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Walker. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cube is defended easily by Walker. Walker lands a jab to Cube's midsection. Cube swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cube scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cube slips a straight right by Walker. Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Cube ducks under a wild hook from Walker. Wes Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A looping hook to the body misses from Cube. Walker does a little dance to reset his feet. Good work by Cube as he checks the leg kick. A cross from Walker lands. Nice straight punches there by Walker. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Walker. Cube doesn't manage to clinch there - Walker circles away.

Cube swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Walker is now in Cube's guard. A big mistake from Cube there, giving up the dominant position! Walker prevents Cube from getting back to his feet. Ice Cube has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ice Cube overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cube wants to control but Walker is keeping him busy. Walker is trying to get back to full guard. Cube is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Walker has managed to free his arm - good work. Walker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cube is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Walker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Walker wants to sweep but no luck. Cube throws a big elbow that misses. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker is trying to control the position from the bottom.

19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darin Blood! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ivanov shoots in for a takedown but Blood shows good takedown defense. Blood throws a leg kick that is checked enabling Ivanov to counter with a crisp jab. Blood walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Ivanov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ivanov thows a left - swing and a miss! Blood misses with a looping right. Blood thows a left - swing and a miss! Darin Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ivanov takes a swing at Blood's ribcage but misses. Ivanov shoots in looking for a takedown but Blood manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ivanov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ivanov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ivanov lands in his opponent's guard. Blood wants to sweep here but Ivanov controlling him for the moment. Ivanov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blood is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Blood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. This has been an exciting period of action! Blood can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ivanov controls the pace. Ivanov won't allow Blood to sweep him here. Ivanov trying to control but Blood is working from the bottom. Blood is trying to control the position but Ivanov postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Blood throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Blood motions for Ivanov to come forward. Blood throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Blood swings for the body but Ivanov moves out of range.

Blood manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ivanov tries to free his leg and advance position but Blood is retaining full guard. Ivanov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ivanov stands and throws Blood's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ivanov scores with a couple of short elbows. Ivanov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blood is refusing to be controlled, as Ivanov sits in half guard. Blood has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ivanov is working away from the top position though. Blood throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Blood has hold of Ivanov's hands but Ivanov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Blood wants to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ivanov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Blood trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Blood tries to hold on but Ivanov pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aleksey Ivanov will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
