Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Franklin Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jordan Lee! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson. Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it. Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lee circles away quickly and effectively. Lee bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lee sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Jackson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lee swings around for an armbar but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lee's guard. Jackson wants to stand but Lee has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jackson.

Azz throws a lazy right hand but Pysh Pysh sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pysh Pysh moves out of range of the leg kick from Azz. Azz just misses with a punch to the body.

It looks like Ololo Pysh Pysh has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pysh Pysh connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Azz connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Pysh Pysh tumbling to the canvas! Azz pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Pysh Pysh was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoulder throws a nice looking combination but Russo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Russo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Shoulder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Russo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shoulder postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Russo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shoulder, into his guard. Shoulder looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Russo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shoulder isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Russo stacks Shoulder on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Russo! Shoulder is looking to regain half guard here but Russo keeps moving and retains side control. Russo trying to control the position but Shoulder is working away. Russo is trying to get an arm triangle but Shoulder is defending well. Shoulder tries to buck Russo off but Russo is having none of it.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Astoria and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Astoria throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Astoria bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. LePew missing with a left hand there. Astoria was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Astoria looks to throw the jab but LePew is out of range. LePew looks to throw a body kick and Astoria counters with an outside leg kick.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Max Factor's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Factor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pain wants to control but Factor is keeping him busy. Pain misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Factor is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Factor wants to control but Pain postures up. Factor is not content to let Pain control the position.

16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noriyuki Nayoui! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood looks to land a left hand but Nayoui moved out of range nicely. Nayoui uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wood.
Wood lands a right hook to the body.
Wood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Wood wants to slow Nayoui down by chopping away at his legs. Nayoui lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wood at a distance.
Nayoui moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Nayoui blocks a head kick by Wood.
Nayoui thows a body shot but no joy. Wood moves away from the strike by Nayoui. A big left from Wood misses. Wood lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nayoui scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wood looks to land a left hand but Nayoui moved out of range nicely. Wood swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wood throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Wood takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nayoui throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nayoui lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood looks for the body kick but Nayoui saw that one coming. Nayoui tests Wood's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nayoui drops Wood with a beautiful combination! Wood stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nayoui is looking for the KO!
Wood is rocked!
It looks like BJ Wood has been cut. Wood is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nayoui throws an overhand right that has Wood reeling! Nayoui follows up with more punches and Wood is out cold! This one is all over!
