2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Perry Straps! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Makosi Karolczak! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Straps keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Karolczak drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Straps is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here. Straps is looking to regain half guard here but Karolczak keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Straps manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Karolczak missing with punches from the bottom.
Straps sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Karolczak defending well though. Straps seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Karolczak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Karolczak makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Karolczak. Straps might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karolczak keeping full guard, as Straps tries to pass. Karolczak keeping moving, preventing Straps from controlling successfully. Karolczak is looking for a triangle but Straps pushes his legs off easily.

Straps advances position into side control! Straps grinds an elbow into Karolczak's temple. Straps looks up at the clock and then as Karolczak takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Straps smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karolczak tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Karolczak is not content to let Straps control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Straps lands a nice forearm strike. Straps trying to control the position but Karolczak is working away. Straps scores with punches from side control. Karolczak takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Straps scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Karolczak to see if he's OK. Karolczak prevents Straps from moving into mount. Straps wants to lay and pray for a moment but Karolczak keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Karolczak wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Karolczak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Straps thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Straps tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Straps has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Karolczak chipping away with strikes from the bottom.
Straps in side control lands a decent elbow. Karolczak is trying to control Straps's posture but Straps avoids it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karolczak prevents Straps from improving position. Karolczak wants to control but Straps postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Perry Straps dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Karolczak misses with a takedown attempt - Straps sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Straps has his takedown stuffed and Karolczak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Straps looking for a sweep. Not yet Straps, not yet. Karolczak trying to control but Straps is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Karolczak controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Makosi Karolczak was stalling too much, according to the referee. Straps shoots in but Karolczak avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Karolczak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Straps was covering up waiting for the punch and Karolczak finishes the takedown easily into guard. Perry Straps overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Karolczak prevents Straps from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Straps throws his legs up looking for a submission but Karolczak uses it to pass to side control.
Straps is looking for a sweep. Karolczak trying to control the action but Straps is working from the bottom. Karolczak slows the pace down.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Makosi Karolczak wasn't active enough on the ground. Karolczak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Straps is fending him off so far but Karolczak persists. Nope, Straps circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Makosi Karolczak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Karolczak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Straps looking to hit a scissor sweep but Karolczak is one step ahead there. Straps looking for a guillotine here but Karolczak defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Straps can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Karolczak controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Makosi Karolczak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Straps fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Karolczak shoots in for a takedown but Straps shows good takedown defense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karolczak fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Straps to the ground. Karolczak is now in Straps's guard. Karolczak seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Straps looking to hit a scissor sweep but Karolczak is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Makosi Karolczak. Straps tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karolczak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Straps somewhat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Straps misses with a takedown attempt - Karolczak sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Makosi Karolczak comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Karolczak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Destroyer misses with a takedown and Hard counters with a takedown into side control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hard lands a few punches from side control.
It looks like Brutus Destroyer has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hard tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Destroyer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That has opened up Brutus Destroyer's cut even more. Destroyer is looking to regain half guard here but Hard keeps moving and retains side control. Destroyer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Destroyer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The cut above Brutus Destroyer's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brutus Destroyer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jennings darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jennings lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jennings with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jennings sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ming defending well though. Jennings has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jennings lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jennings in particular looking to stall. Jennings working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ming tries to get to full guard but Jennings has control of the leg. Jennings landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jennings drops an elbow to the side of Ming's head. Jennings looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ming with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ming is trying to stand.
Jennings lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Jennings looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jennings has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ming on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jennings controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jennings is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Jennings is nestled in close to Ming, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jennings scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Jennings is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jennings lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ming is rocked! Jennings landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ming is still in real trouble! Can Jennings finish him? The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jennings lands a nice short elbow. Jennings slows the pace down in half guard. Jennings is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ming is hurt! He's hurt bad - Jennings fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ming from any more punishment! Congratulations to Jennings! Great finish!

They are putting on a show! Summerfield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Summerfield lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ross backwards. Summerfield gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Post fight, Bob Summerfield took to the microphone: 'I planned to take this fight with an early KO, so I've been on the heavy bag... but I trained hard all-round and that's what got me the victory.
