 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Plouman Snr. No joy for Markakis on that attempt. Markakis steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Plouman Snr. That one must have hurt. Plouman Snr's jab looks to have found its range, popping Markakis under the eye. Markakis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Markakis misses the shot to the body. Markakis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Plouman Snr can pounce on him.
Markakis is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Plouman Snr lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Plouman Snr fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. A good leg kick by Plouman Snr. Plouman Snr chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Markakis walks into a straight right hand from Plouman Snr.
Plouman Snr lands a big head kick that sends Markakis tumbling to the mat! Plouman Snr takes a step backwards and waves Markakis back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 Markakis is rocked! Markakis circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Plouman Snr. Markakis falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Plouman Snr!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Duran as Ferguson shoots in. Ferguson with a lazy takedown attempt letting Duran counter with a right hand. Duran looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Duran buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ferguson moves to clinch but Duran breaks away and Duran counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Duran misses with a wild combination.
Ferguson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duran's waist but Duran gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferguson off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Ferguson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Duran moves into range and clinches up with Ferguson. Duran tries to break free but Ferguson pushes him back against the cage.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Duran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ferguson slips under a jab. Ferguson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Duran keeps the fight on the outside. Ferguson defending well as Duran loads up on a big left hand. Duran throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Duran is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ferguson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Duran stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Ferguson is looking to clinch but Duran is avoiding it.
Ferguson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ferguson decides to stand back up.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Duran throws a chopping leg kick but Ferguson manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Duran misses with a body shot.
Ferguson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ferguson looking to sit in guard and control but Duran gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ferguson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duran defends well.

Ferguson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
An inside leg kick from Duran misses. Good shot there by Duran. Ferguson wants to clinch. Duran lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferguson circles away quickly and effectively.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferguson fails to land the takedown. Josh Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ferguson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Duran, pushing him back against the cage. Duran is trying to force a seperation but Ferguson has the dominant position. Duran wants to break the clinch but can't.
Duran looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duran's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Duran fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ferguson on the side of the head. Ferguson moves to clinch but Duran breaks away and Duran counters with an inside leg kick. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Duran leaves Ferguson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duran as he avoids it easily. Duran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Ferguson doesn't manage to clinch there - Duran circles away.
Duran has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Ferguson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Ferguson drives through with a takedown into Duran's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ferguson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Duran, up you get!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferguson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duran but Duran pushes him off and we're back to square one. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Duran swats him away and circles back towards the center. Duran throws out a powerful jab. Duran scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Duran throws a right and a left that both miss. Duran Duran seems to be getting the better of the standup. Duran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferguson manages to avoid it. Duran throws a shot from downtown. Ferguson moves away and avoids it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran misses the jab. Duran throws the left hand but Ferguson avoids the punch easily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ferguson shoots in for a takedown but Duran shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Duran jabbing away but nothing is landing. Duran misses with a left hand
and Ferguson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Duran! Duran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ferguson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Duran sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ferguson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Duran tries to bum rush Ferguson with a series of wild strikes but Ferguson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Duran pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Duran stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duran wants it to stay on the feet.

Duran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Duran fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Ferguson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duran can pounce on him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Duran enables Ferguson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Duran manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ferguson is pushing down on Duran's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duran is fighting to maintain full guard but Ferguson has managed to sneak the leg through. Ferguson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Duran is looking to escape. Duran Duran has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Duran takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Duran is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Duran is refusing to be controlled, as Ferguson sits in half guard. Josh Ferguson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
 Josh Ferguson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Ferguson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duran sprawls well. Duran wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferguson gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Ferguson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ferguson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duran tries to avoid it but Ferguson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duran to the ground. Duran escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ferguson tries to clinch there but Duran circles away.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Josh Ferguson. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ferguson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Good shot there by Santz. Donk. Santz catches Says right on the button with a cross. Says looks to land a combination. Santz sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Santz slips a straight right by Says. Santz throws a right hand that Says ducks under and follows up with a left that Says also avoids with ease. Says takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Says throws a nice head kick!
Santz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Says misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Santz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Santz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Says pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Santz lands with a good body shot. Santz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Says back to the cage. Santz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Santz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Santz will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Santz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Says throws out the jab. Santz catches Says with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Nice cross by Santz.

Santz bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Says on the wrong end of a nice hook. Santz with a hook. Says might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Santz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Says throws out the jab. Says scores with a body shot.

Says drops his hands momentarily and Santz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Santz fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Says throws a big shot that misses. Says throws a right hand that Santz ducks under and follows up with a left that Santz also avoids with ease. Jose Santz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nice straight punches there by Santz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Santz. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Santz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Says back to the cage. Santz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Says misses with a straight left.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Jab by Santz. Says tries to clinch but Santz moves out of range. Santz tests Says's chin there with a solid looking shot. Santz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Says momentarily.
Santz lands a nice hook to Says's body. Says takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Santz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Says tries to move into range but Santz moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Says lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santz circles away quickly and effectively. Says throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Santz cracks Says with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Says looks to throw the jab but Santz is out of range. Santz lands a jab to Says's midsection. Simon Says has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A slow jab from Says misses its intended target. Santz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Santz jabs Says right on the nose. Says blinks but takes it well. Santz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jose Santz. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gustafsson swats away the attempt to clinch by Tesser. Tesser throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gustafsson counters with a three punch combo that has Tesser backing up. Tesser nods at Gustafsson to acknowledge the strikes. Tesser takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gustafsson lands a head kick. Tesser smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Tesser steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gustafsson. An inside leg kick lands from Gustafsson. Gustafsson lands a lovely overhand right. Tesser tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gustafsson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gustafsson connects with an inside leg kick. Tesser tries to close the distance and clinch but Gustafsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tesser tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gustafsson swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tesser takes one to the chin there. Tesser fails in his attempt to clinch. Gustafsson lands with a straight right. Tesser didn't see that one coming.
 Tesser is rocked! Tesser misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tesser is still on wobbly legs! Can Gustafsson finish him? Gustafsson lands with a hook. Tesser tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Gustafsson! Tesser is out on his feet! Gustafsson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Tesser is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Tesser is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Gustafsson! Alexander Gustafsson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Spahn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coach tries to avoid it but Spahn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coach to the ground. Coach escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Spahn shoots in for a double leg but Coach sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Da Coach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rik Spahn. Coach keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Coach keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Coach feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Spahns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Coach is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Spahn shoots in for a takedown but Coach shows good takedown defense. Spahn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Coach swivels and escapes. Coach lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Coach lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Coach feints a jab promting Spahn to slip. Coach then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Spahn slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Spahn shoots and misses
and Coach decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Spahn's guard. Coach won't allow Spahn to sweep him here. Coach trying to control but Spahn is working from the bottom. Spahn looking for a sweep. Not yet Spahn, not yet. Coach wanted to stand there but Spahn had control of the position. Coach has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Spahn is trying to keep Coach in close.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Spahn checks a leg kick. A solid body kick from Coach.
Coach feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spahn wants to sweep but no luck. Spahn has a closed guard, preventing Coach from standing up. Spahn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Coach being controlled here momentarily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Coach is looking to stand up but Spahn won't let him. Spahn striking off his back but it's not causing Coach any problems. Spahn is adopting a defensive guard.

 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Coach throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spahn was covering up waiting for the punch and Coach finishes the takedown easily into guard. Spahn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coach! Spahn looking to control and managing it successfully. Spahn punishing his opponent with strikes.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spahn cracks Coach with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
 Coach is rocked! Spahn throwing strikes here but Coach is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caudill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baggins swats him away and circles back towards the center. Caudill gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Baggins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Caudill to the ground. Baggins is now in Caudill's guard. Baggins throws an elbow that misses.
