The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Jones drops Davis with a beautiful combination! Davis stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!

It looks like Michael Davis has been cut.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Davis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Davis is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Davis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Davis looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

After the fight, Michael Davis was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
