The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pearsen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Nappula - the referee stops the clock and Pearsen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Nappula. Pearsen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round but I would say that Jokke Nappula will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ting Yan Wang.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Tiger Mask will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mask, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jokinen throws a head kick but Irwin moves out of range.
Jokinen cracks a nice hook into Irwin's ribs.
Jokinen takes a swing at Irwin's ribcage but misses.
Irwin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jokinen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jokinen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jokinen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jokinen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Irwin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jokinen's body to avoid the submission. Jokinen has instead reached around Irwin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jokinen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Otto Jokinen! Otto Jokinen retains his light heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Otto Jokinen thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
