Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Warrior's Call. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cain to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Silva trying to control the position.
Cain wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Cain seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Silva scores with a head kick.

Cain cracks Silva with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Cain sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cain postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cain scoring with strikes but Silva is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayweather connects with a nice looking jab.
Mayweather fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Janosikowski looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Janosikowski misses with a takedown attempt - Mayweather sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mayweather defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Janosikowski. Floyd Mayweather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Janosikowski has a takedown stuffed. Floyd Mayweather has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Janosikowski. Mayweather throws a series of punches but Janosikowski avoids them all with ease. Janosikowski takes a shot right to the bread basket. Janosikowski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mayweather pinned against the cage. Mayweather gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mayweather scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Janosikowski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mayweather does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Mayweather is defending against the submission attempts here by Janosikowski.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jorma looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fight wants to control but Jorma is keeping him busy. Jorma managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Fight.
Fight in side control, throwing shots but Jorma defends. You can see the frustration on Jorma's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Fight trying to control the position but Jorma is working away. Fight has hold of Jorma's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jorma tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Fight cranks the arm and Jorma screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jorma, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Groves gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Powell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Powell is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Groves slips a jab and a cross from Powell.
Powell throws a hook to the side of Groves's head but Groves sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Groves tries to close the distance and clinch but Powell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Powell slaps away a takedown attempt from Groves, before circling back to the center of the mat. Powell comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Geoffrey Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Groves tries for a takedown but Powell circles away easily and Powell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Geoffrey Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryce Groves. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Groves with a poor takedown and Powell counters with a crisp right hand that drops Groves! Zawistowski stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Killer. Jan Zawistowski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Zawistowski misses with a looping left. Killer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zawistowski.

A chopping leg kick lands by Gouki. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gouki lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Nico Diablo has been cut. Diablo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diablo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gouki. Gouki obviously looking to wear him down.
Gouki lands a big uppercut and Diablo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Diablo looks OK. Gouki waves Diablo back to his feet! Gouki throws an overhand right that has Diablo reeling! Gouki follows up with more punches and Diablo is out cold! This one is all over!

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jimmy Snuka! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douglas shoots in for a takedown but Snuka shows good takedown defense. Snuka stuffs the takedown attempt from Douglas. Douglas gets slowly back to his feet. Douglas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Snuka makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chip Douglas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Douglas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Snuka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Douglas somewhat. Douglas ducks under a wild hook from Snuka. Snuka scores with a punch to the head. Douglas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Douglas shoots in looking for a takedown but Snuka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Douglas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Douglas avoids the body shot from Snuka.
A jab from Snuka does it's job there. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Snuka drops Douglas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Douglas looks back up at him and smiles so Snuka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

and Douglas counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Douglas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Snuka defending well though. Snuka is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Douglas's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Douglas's back! Douglas rolls, trying to escape but Snuka keeps control of the position.
Douglas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Snuka softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Douglas is breathing heavily. Snuka is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Snuka gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Snuka gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Snuka apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Oh Douglas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Snuka throws a looping overhand right but Douglas ducks down to avoid it. Douglas seems to have got his legs back now. Snuka sends Douglas crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Snuka is motioning to the referee to let Douglas up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Douglas dives in and grabs Snuka's left leg, looking for a takedown. Snuka pushes down on Douglas's head and hops out. Douglas moves out of range of the strikes. Snuka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Douglas defending well as Snuka loads up on a big left hand. Snuka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Douglas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Douglas slips under a jab from Snuka. Douglas tries to clinch but Snuka moves away and Snuka counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Snuka scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Douglas doesn't seem bothered though. Snuka cracks Douglas with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
