The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
Valentine throws a body punch but Hunter moves out of range.
Valentine takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hunter throws a series of punches but Valentine avoids them all with ease.
Valentine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Eli Hunter has been cut.

Valentine rushes Hunter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Valentine lands an elbow just above Hunter 's eye.

Valentine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from Valentine. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.

Valentine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chubby Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Decimus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Meridius's choice of entrance music: Ça Vaut Mieux Que D'attraper la Scarlatine . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

It looks like Maximus Decimus Meridius has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Meridius tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Maximus Decimus Meridius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
