Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ulan Bator! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Durham! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bator shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Durham is trying to defend but Bator finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bator is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Durham looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bator seems to be looking for submissions.
Bator is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bator passes to side control. Durham is looking for a sweep. Bator wants to lay and pray for a moment but Durham keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durham tries to get back to half guard but can't. Durham manages to get back to half guard. Bator knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Durham on the ground. Durham is trying to maintain the position but Bator is very close to passing his half guard. Bator is working for a submission of some sort.
Bator is trying to control. Durham wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Durham trying to hold on to Bator's head to control him but Bator postures up.
Durham looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Durham wants to improve his position but Bator is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bator is pressing down on Durham's thigh, looking to free his foot. Durham is holding on for now. Durham looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bator is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Durham is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bator pulls his head out easily. Bator really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Durham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Durham is not content to let Bator control the position. Bator is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Durham looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Durham moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bator wants to get up but he can't break Durham's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bator slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Durham is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Durham has his foot on Bator's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bator works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mike Durham will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bator defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durham. Durham closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bator to the mat! Bator manages to get full guard. Bator looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bator is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Durham wants to control from the top but Bator keeps moving. Bator is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Durham drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bator dives on top into guard. Bator trying to control the position from guard on top but Durham is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bator stays in close to Durham's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durham escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bator gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bator is looking to stand up but Durham won't let him. Durham throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Durham working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bator doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bator manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Durham is breathing heavily. Durham is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bator is aware though and is defending well. Bator pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Durham is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bator stays in close to Durham's body and controls the position. Durham is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Bator frees his head nicely. Oh but Durham has switched to an armbar! Bator is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Doherty lands a jab to Rymes's midsection. O Doherty throws a shot to the body.
O Doherty swinging wildly here.
O Doherty connects with a body shot that sends Rymes's belly button to the back. O Doherty fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Rymes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A left and a right from O Doherty both land. Nice combination. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rymes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. O Doherty lands with a right that hurts Rymes. Rymes looks to clinch but O Doherty throws a short knee that drops Rymes. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Mickey O Doherty! A less than humble Mickey O Doherty misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
