The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Matt Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hontai tries to close the distance and clinch but Blood swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blood throws a wild body kick that Hontai sees coming a mile off.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hontai looking to break Blood's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Blood remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hontai will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Hontai sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Blood taps out!

Fialho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Moody sprawls well initially but Fialho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fialho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Moody is just riding it out for now. Fialho eventually gives up the hold.

Fialho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moody defends it well.
Moody is holding on to half guard well.
Moody wants to improve his position but Fialho is controlling well.
Fialho missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Helio Fialho opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
