1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lee Bannnon! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie throws a right and a left that both miss. A momentary lapse in concentration from Bannnon enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bannnon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bannnon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie won't allow Bannnon to sweep him here. Bannnon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie stands up and waves to Bannnon to follow him. Gracie closes the distance and pushes Bannnon back into the cage. Bannnon gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.
Bannnon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gracie avoids it. Bannnon tries to throw a body punch but Gracie avoids it by throwing Bannnon back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bannnon has hold of one of Gracie's legs. Gracie is fighting the takedown attempt but Bannnon gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gracie prevents Bannnon from getting the reversal. Gracie controlling his opponent. Bannnon is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Gracie tries to control but Bannnon wriggling away.

Gracie wants to get up but he can't break Bannnon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Bannnon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Gracie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

El Marino seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Veensalu pulls El Marino in close to his closed guard and prevents El Marino from doing any damage or advancing position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jaanus Veensalu. Veensalu shoots for a double leg takedown but El Marino sprawls well. He's pushed Veensalu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. El Marino tries to clinch up but Veensalu circles away and keeps his distance. Veensalu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. El Marino tries to avoid it but Veensalu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag El Marino to the ground. El Marino escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. El Marino shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than El Marino was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ing scores with a takedown into Deschamps's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Deschamps is trying to keep Ing in close.
Ing working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Deschamps's head. Deschamps looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ing tries to free his leg and advance position but Deschamps is retaining full guard. Deschamps really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ing. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ing is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ing's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Ing works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ing is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ing works his way into full mount! Ing really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Deschamps is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ing has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ing has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Deschamps's face.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Deschamps can do anything to dispel that myth. Ing working Deschamps over with strikes here. Ing lands a nice shot to the head. Ing with good strikes from the mount here! Ing landing strikes from the mount. You get the feeling that Deschamps really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ing is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Deschamps to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Deschamps shrugs it off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ing working away from the top, dropping strikes. Ing working for a guillotine from mount but Deschamps is in no mood to give up. Deschamps is rocked! Ing cracks Deschamps with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
