The crowd seem to be enjoying Churchill's choice of entrance music: Australian National Anthem . Clive Churchill will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanic takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tanic wants to land a leg kick but Churchill is out of range.
Tanic looks for the body kick but Churchill saw that one coming.
Churchill pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tanic is out of range and Churchill settles back down.
Churchill checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Churchill swats away the attempt to clinch by Tanic.
Tanic throws a sloppy head kick and Churchill moves out of range easily.
Churchill throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Churchill avoids a kick to the body.
Tanic thows a leg kick but Churchill checks it
and Churchill counters with a thumping low kick.
Churchill looks for the body kick but Tanic saw that one coming.

Tanic throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Tanic chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Churchill can pounce on him.

Tanic throws out a leg kick but Churchill moves out of range and Tanic only half commits.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Churchill. Tanic shrugs it off though.
Tanic tries to clinch but Churchill moves out of range.
Churchill lands a big head kick that sends Tanic tumbling to the mat! Churchill takes a step backwards and waves Tanic back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Tanic is rocked!
It looks like Thai Tanic has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tanic will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Oh Tanic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tanic drops his hands momentarily and Churchill needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Tanic just on the top of the head. Tanic drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Tanic - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Clive Churchill!
In his post fight interview, Clive Churchill started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Nibbles's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dawson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nibbles scrambles back to his feet.
