Johnson drops Calaway with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Calaway looks back up at him and smiles so Johnson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Mark Calaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Calaway walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Johnson! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Basilan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Cho is out of range.
Cho finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cho. Basilan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Basilan chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Basilan lands a nice looking body shot.
Basilan throws a push kick but Cho slaps the foot to one side.
Basilan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cho if he has to take too many more of those.

Basilan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Cho moves out of range of the strikes.
Some bone on bone action there as Basilan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Basilan avoids the body shot from Cho.
Cho walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Basilan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cho connects with a body shot that sends Basilan's belly button to the back.
Basilan lands a leg kick that knocks Cho off balance momentarily.
Basilan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cho just misses with a punch to the body.
Cho throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Felix Basilan has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cho lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Basilan has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Basilan and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Basilan tries a low kick but Cho avoids it.

Basilan is looking to land body kicks.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cho.
Cho misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Basilan.
Cho slips a straight right by Basilan.
A combination from Cho does no damage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Basilan. That's going to slow Cho down.
Cho thuds a left hand into Basilan's body.
Basilan missing with a left hand there. Cho was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Cho counters with a left to the body.
Cho tries to close the distance and clinch but Basilan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Basilan.

and Basilan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Basilan throws a leg kick but Cho checks it.

Cho throws a hook but Basilan avoids it easily.
Basilan cracks Cho with an open hand slap.
Cho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Basilan manages to avoid it.
Basilan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Cho is rocked!
Basilan throws a sloppy head kick
and Cho counters with a three punch combo that has Basilan backing up. Basilan nods at Cho to acknowledge the strikes.
Oh Cho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cho gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Basilan gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Cho is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
