Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Belfort.
Belfort throws a head kick that misses.
Belfort avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Belfort throws the kick towards the body but Perez avoids it.
Belfort tries to close the distance and clinch up but Perez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Perez misses with a hook. Belfort ducked under it nicely.
Belfort circles away from the clinch attempt.
Perez lands with an overhand left.
Belfort really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Belfort changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perez tries to avoid it but Belfort manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perez to the ground. Perez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Belfort fails with the takedown.
Belfort looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Perez scores with a one two! Belfort had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Anthony Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez connects with a body shot that sends Belfort's belly button to the back.
Perez moves into the clinch.

Perez lands with a short shot to the head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios misses with a few strikes there.
A slapping body kick lands there for Rios.
Rios lands with a nice combination. Dary backs away looking to recover.
Dary looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dary misses with a two punch combination.
Dary just misses with a punch to the body.
Dary closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rios circles away.
Rios uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dary.
Dary throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rios was covering up waiting for the punch and Dary finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dary wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.
Dary throws an elbow that misses. Rios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dary's guard. Nice move by Rios!

Rios looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Dary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rios. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rios advances position into side control!
Dary can't do much from the bottom here.
Dary is looking for a sweep.

Rios misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Rios wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dary, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rios tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Dary reaches up around Rios's neck trying to control. But Rios takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Dary! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Dary is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Rios celebrates the victory with the fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Boozan Rios!
