10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane MacLain! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowens throws a head kick that misses. Bowens shoots in looking for a takedown but MacLain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bowens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. MacLain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than MacLain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. MacLain throws an elbow but Bowens slips to the side and avoids it well. Bowens tries to buck MacLain off but MacLain is having none of it. Bowens sneaks back into half guard. Bowens wants to get back to full guard. MacLain is figuring out what he wants to do next. MacLain trying to control the action but Bowens is working from the bottom. MacLain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. MacLain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. MacLain is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
MacLain is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowens pushes MacLain off looking to stand but MacLain dives back in and keeps control.

Bowens keeping moving, preventing MacLain from controlling successfully. MacLain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bowens is keeping the position for now. MacLain throwing strikes from guard but Bowens blocks nicely.

Bowens is looking to sinch up a triangle. MacLain throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Bowens's body to avoid the submission. Bowens has instead reached around MacLain's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Bowens arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A fine choice. Bruce Leroy told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roshan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Leroy cracks Roshan with a good jab. Roshan shoots in and gets a takedown into Leroy's guard. Leroy keeping full guard, as Roshan tries to pass. Roshan trying to control the position from guard on top but Leroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leroy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Roshan is controlling him. Roshan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roshan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Leroy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Leroy keeping moving, preventing Roshan from controlling successfully. Roshan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Leroy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roshan controls the pace.

Roshan tries to free his leg and advance position but Leroy is retaining full guard. Roshan stops Leroy from standing up. Roshan wants to pass the guard but Leroy is keeping the position. Roshan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Leroy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Roshan rushes Leroy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Roshan can't get the takedown.

Roshan is looking for a kimura but Leroy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Roshan to get the leverage. Roshan stops Leroy from getting back to his feet.

Roshan shoots in for a takedown but Leroy shows good takedown defense. Bruce Leroy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Roshan doesn't manage to clinch there - Leroy circles away.

Leningrada keeps control of Monroe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Leningrada prevents Monroe from breaking the clinch. Monroe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Leningrada misses with a body punch.

Scheisse ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cullen moves away. Scheisse on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Cullen throws a leg kick and Scheisse cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Scheisse.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. James avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Love. Puppy Love showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters circle momentarily. Skywalker darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Two misses with a looping right. Skywalker misses the jab. Two looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Two checks the leg kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Skywalker.
That's one minute gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Two. Skywalker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Two. Two misses the shot to the body. Skywalker jabs Two right on the nose. Two blinks but takes it well. Skywalker thows a body shot but no joy. Skywalker stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Two. That's going to take a lot out of him. Skywalker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Skywalker lands a good knee to the midsection. Two won't want to take too many of those. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Two letting Skywalker take a breather here. Skywalker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Two will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Luke Skywalker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Skywalker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Two. A decent looking cross lands there for Skywalker. Two takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Two is rocked! Skywalker swings away with a leg kick that misses. Oh Two is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Skywalker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Two seems to have got his legs back now. Two moves out of range of the leg kick from Skywalker. A left lands for Skywalker. Skywalker lands a big uppercut and Two crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Two looks OK. Skywalker waves Two back to his feet! Skywalker misses with a body shot.
Two shoots in and drives through. Skywalker sprawls well. Skywalker drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Two right on the button. Two goes down! Skywalker follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Skywalker gets the win via TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rios misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Ruent counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rios thinking. Ruent gets in close and instigates a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rios takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Ruent takes a shot to the head. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ruent working some nice short punches in the clinch.
It looks like Alex Rios has been cut. Rios lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ruent backwards. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ruent blocks a body shot from Rios. Ruent breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A bone on bone clash there as Ruent blocks the leg kick.
Rios lands a jab to Ruent's midsection. Ruent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ruent lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ruent looking to stall.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ruent just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rios's brow. Rios has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ruent after a bit of a struggle. Rios scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Rick Ruent has been cut. Rios tries to break free but Ruent pushes him back against the cage. Rios pushes Ruent back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A short left from Rios. Ruent breaks the clinch.

Rios shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Rios throws a solid leg kick but Ruent takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rios. Rios tries to clinch but Ruent moves away and Ruent counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rios throws a leg kick and Ruent cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A telegraphed right hand from Rios misses the target. Rios takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Rios is breathing heavily. Ruent scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ruent ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ruent scores with a one two! Rios had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ruent, as that shot connected.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruent connects with a single shot there. Ruent throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ruent lands a jab to the head.

Ruent fails in his attempt to clinch. Rios needs to keep his hands up - Ruent had a free shot at his head there. Ruent scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ruent lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rios circles away quickly and effectively. Ruent misses the jab. Ruent slips under a jab from Rios. Ruent is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Rios had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Ruent avoids the head kick by Rios.
Rios has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ruent. Good work by Ruent as he checks the leg kick. Rios throws a body punch but Ruent moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rios misses with a wild body shot. Rios lands a jab. Ruent wants to clinch. A cross from Ruent lands. Alex Rios seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rios misses with a hook. Ruent ducked under it nicely. A solid leg kick lands there for Rios.
Ruent tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rios manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ruent on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Rios thows a body shot but no joy. Ruent blocks a jab. Ruent lands a jab to the nose. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rios misses the body punch and Ruent counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ruent moves into range and clinches up with Rios. Ruent wants to stall.
