The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flauta shoots for a double leg takedown but Twist sprawls well. He's pushed Flauta's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Flauta shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Twist as he avoids it easily.
Twist fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Flauta manages to avoid it.

Oliver Twist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmonray Flauta.

Twist has hold of Flauta's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Flauta manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Oliver Twist will probably get the nod.

Flauta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Twist postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Flauta is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Twist, into his guard.

Twist is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Flauta frees his head nicely. Oh but Twist has switched to an armbar! Flauta is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
