1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Koslov! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sirenni moves in looking to clinch but Koslov pushes him off. Sirenni misses with a leg kick and Koslov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sirenni pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sirenni tries to keep at a distance but Koslov has taken the fight into the clinch. Sirenni prevents a takedown attempt there.
Koslov pulls guard effortlessly. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sirenni trying to control but Koslov is working from the bottom. Koslov kicks Sirenni off and gets to his feet. Koslov misses with the combination.
No luck for Sirenni with that takedown attempt. Sirenni stuffs the takedown attempt from Koslov. Koslov gets slowly back to his feet.

Koslov regains half guard there - taking advantage of Sirenni's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Koslov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sirenni scores with a couple of nice shots.

Sirenni stalling away here and it's allowed Koslov to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Koslov wants to sweep but no luck. Koslov keeping moving, preventing Sirenni from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sirenni is looking to stand up but Koslov won't let him. Sirenni working some strikes from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sirenni stopping the sweep attempt from Koslov. Sirenni drops back, looking for a kneebar! Koslov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Koslov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Sirenni throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Koslov was covering up waiting for the punch and Sirenni finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Koslov is staying active underneath Sirenni, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koslov keeping hold of Sirenni's head, controlling as best he can. Sirenni is pressing down on Koslov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Koslov is holding on for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tommy Sirenni. Koslov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sirenni misses with a body kick. Sirenni closes the distance and clinches up with Koslov, looking for a takedown. Sirenni pushes Koslov against the cage but Koslov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tommy Sirenni. I think Sirenni has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stojnic throws a nice looking combination but Karelin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Stojnic fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Karelin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stojnic seems a little lost for a moment, as Karelin dominates the positioning. Karelin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Karelin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kuciak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hawk to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kuciak is breathing heavily. Hawk trying to control but Kuciak is working from the bottom. Kuciak has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hawk doesn't defend quickly enough and Kuciak has managed to lock this one up! Can Hawk escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Nedlov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nedlov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kozak to keep the fight standing. Stalling in the clinch from Kozak.

Kozak lands a leg kick that knocks Nedlov off balance momentarily. Kozak takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kozak swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kozak rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nedlov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Horrible takedown by Nedlov or perhaps it was just good defense by Kozak which made him look bad. Nedlov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nedlov throws a series of strikes that have Kozak backpedaling.
Kozak lets loose with a powerful body kick. Nedlov will feel that in the morning. Nedlov is breathing heavily. Kozak scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
