The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Deng as he checks the leg kick.
Duran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deng manages to avoid it.

Deng throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Duran was covering up waiting for the punch and Deng finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Duran wants to sweep but no luck.
Deng loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Deng is looking to work some ground and pound but Duran has wrist control.
Deng not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Deng accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Deng is nestled in close to Duran, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deng looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Duran with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Deng uses his free foot to push down on Duran's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Duran.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Duran tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Deng was well out of range. Poor timing from Duran.

Duran throws a solid leg kick but Deng takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Duran.

Duran is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Deng looks up at the clock and then as Duran takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Deng smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Deng lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Duran down.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duran can do anything to dispel that myth.

Deng is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Duran's shoulder. That is not cool.

Redyan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Alkhanov counters with a three punch combo that has Redyan backing up. Redyan nods at Alkhanov to acknowledge the strikes.
Alkhanov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Redyan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alkhanov tries to avoid it but Redyan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alkhanov to the ground. Alkhanov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Redyan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Redyan works his way into full mount!

Jones throws a body punch but Atmee moves out of range.
Atmee's corner calls for a 1-2. Atmee obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones tries to land a front kick but Atmee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Atmee lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Atmee lands with a nice body punch.

Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Atmee.

SirBoss swings and misses with a hook to the body.

XyD punishes SirBoss's body with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looks like ZyD XyD has been cut.
SirBoss pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
XyD lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
SirBoss looks winded!
An inside leg kick lands from XyD.
A decent looking body kick lands there for XyD.
XyD comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
SirBoss avoids a kick to the body.
SirBoss on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
SirBoss takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

XyD drops SirBoss with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but SirBoss looks back up at him and smiles so XyD waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

SirBoss is rocked!
XyD lands an uppercut, right on the button! SirBoss tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). ZyD XyD!
After the fight, ZyD XyD was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
