The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellinger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ellinger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ellinger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pitbull moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pitbull closes the distance and clinches up with Ellinger, looking for a takedown. Pitbull pushes Ellinger against the cage but Ellinger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ellinger keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doug Pitbull. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ellinger tries a body shot but Pitbull blocks it.
Pitbull tries to pull guard but Ellinger forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eli Ellinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pitbull tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ellinger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ellinger lands with a kick to the temple. Pitbull shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pitbull tries for a takedown but Ellinger sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ellinger scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pitbull doesn't seem bothered though.
Pitbull is breathing heavily.
Pitbull slips a jab and a cross from Ellinger.
Pitbull tries to clinch but Ellinger is having none of it.
Horrible takedown by Pitbull or perhaps it was just good defense by Ellinger which made him look bad.

Ellinger lands a left and a right that send Pitbull crashing to the mat, dazed. Ellinger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Pitbull is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pitbull shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ellinger as he avoids it easily.

Pitbull drops his hands momentarily and Ellinger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Oh Pitbull is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Pitbull. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Ellinger throws a powerful right kick. Pitbull tried to block low but the kick was high! Pitbull was taken right off of his feet! Ellinger jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

It looks like Machine Gun has been cut.
Machine Gun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Croswell lands a left and a right that send Mendes crashing to the mat, dazed. Croswell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Croswell misses with the combination.
A punch combination from Croswell misses.
Mendes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Croswell but Croswell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Croswell steps in with a hook that catches Mendes right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Croswell follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mendes looks absolutely devastated.

Matthew Croswell tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

Goldman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Goldman wants it to stay on the feet.

Goldman is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fortunado's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Henderson with that takedown attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Giants.
Henderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Giants throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Henderson's head.
That kick from Giants tenderised Henderson's leg. Henderson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Eagles Giants seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Giants moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Giants fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Henderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Henderson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Henderson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Woolfolk has his takedown stuffed
enabling Bateman to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Joe Woolfolk has been cut.
Woolfolk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bateman can pounce on him.

Woolfolk's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bateman connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Woolfolk scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Look low, kick high! Bateman uses the oldest trick in the book to send Woolfolk tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Bateman is absolutely delighted - when Woolfolk wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Patrick Bateman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Ashton throws a series of punches but Rector moves out of range.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Ashton has gone for a leg lock! Rector slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ashton's guard.

Ashton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ashton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rector is fending him off so far but Ashton persists. Nope, Rector circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Ashton. No joy for Rector on that attempt.
Ashton throws a body kick that misses.
Rector tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ashton manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ashton shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rector manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Ashton has knee on belly and moves into mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rector is working to get back to half guard.

Ashton with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Rector can't escape the position.

Rector is controlling an arm, preventing Ashton from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Ashton has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rector's face.

Rector is rocked!

Rector is trying to escape the mount but Ashton keeps good control and instead manages to take Rector's back.
Rector is still in real trouble! Can Ashton finish him?

Rector is trying to defend against the choke here but Ashton has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ashton Tightens the hold and Rector taps out furiously! Ashton displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
