Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tori Amos-Professional Widow. Clope Jonesy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

McGirk dances in with a quick combination. Radno is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from McGirk snaps Radno's head back. Radno stumbles backwards against the cage. McGirk steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Radno's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Radno just didn't come prepared.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper slaps away a takedown attempt from Bronson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Harper connects with a high kick.
Harper fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bronson.
Harper is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bronson.
Harper lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bronson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Harper throws a nice head kick!
Bronson throws a lazy right hand but Harper sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Harper cracks the inside of Bronson's front leg.
Bronson lands a jab to the nose.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Harper has taken the fight to the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Harper.
Harper lands a good knee to the midsection. Bronson won't want to take too many of those.
Bronson looks gassed!

Harper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bronson wants to clinch but Harper slips to the side
and Harper counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Bronson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Harper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Harper goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Ben Harper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circle, before Harper throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Bronson's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Harper lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Colon has taken the fight to the clinch.
Colon lands a shoulder strike.
Colon wants to stall.
James misses with a hook from the clinch.
Colon can't break the clinch.
Colon blocks an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Colon.

Colon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Colon is trying hard to land a takedown here. James sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
James gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Colon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Colon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

James is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Colon off and has taken his back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Colon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head.

Colon stands and steps away. James gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

James tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

and Colon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
John Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce James.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Colon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
James can't keep his opponent in guard - Colon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Colon gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Colon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. James manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

James is rocked!

Colon decides to stand up, so the ref orders James to his feet.
Colon lands with a big right hook that stumbles James - he's out on his feet here! Colon follows up with another monster hook that separates James from consciousness! James falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Colon stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

It looks like Enrique Mendez has been cut.
Mendez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mandela scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Mandela takes a jab right on the kisser.
Mandela throws a right and a left that Mendez avoids nicely.
Mandela tests Mendez's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Nelson Mandela has been cut.

Mendez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mandela circles away quickly and effectively.
Mendez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mendez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mandela throws the left hand but Mendez avoids the punch easily.
Mendez scores with a punch to the head.
Mandela walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mendez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mandela's head backwards.
Mendez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mendez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mandela seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Mendez shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mandela is backing up but Mendez catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mandela covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Mendez Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Enrique Mendez!
