Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skarface throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Skarface closes the distance and pushes Brasi back into the ropes.
Brasi tries to break the clinch but Skarface is controlling the position.
Brasi tries for a takedown but Skarface manages to get underhooks.
Brasi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Skarface works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Brasi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brasi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Skarface works his way to full guard. Good work.

Skarface looking for a guillotine here but Brasi defends easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brasi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Skarface's guard.
Skarface trying to control from the bottom.

Brasi wants to work for an arm triangle but Skarface is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brasi prevents Skarface from improving his position.
Brasi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Brasi is keen to just control but Skarface is a slippery customer.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Brasi is looking for a kimura but Skarface is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brasi to get the leverage.
Skarface might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Brasi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Skarface keeps working.
Skarface is trying to maintain the position but Brasi is very close to passing his half guard.

It looks like Luca Brasi has been cut.
Brasi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Skarface looking to finish Brasi with some ground and pound. This is bad for Brasi!
Skarface is landing with some decent strikes but Brasi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
