Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiedis clinches up with Bridges and pushes him back against the cage.
Bridges has Kiedis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kiedis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kiedis has Bridges pressed against the cage, preventing Bridges from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bridges misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Bridges is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bridges pulls guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bridges shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bridges was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bridges goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kiedis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bridges but great work by Kiedis.
Bridges is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kiedis is controlling him well.

Kiedis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bridges knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Castile cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

TupperII pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Castile taps out and this one is all over!

Levanen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Christofi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Levanen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Christofi!
Levanen unloads with some shots from mount but Christofi bucks and avoids them well.
Levanen lands a nice shot to the head.
Levanen seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Christofi is holding on tight.
