Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Gomez Bollanos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fails with the takedown. Bollanos rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Jones wants to take the fight to the mat but Bollanos manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Bollanos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bollanos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bollanos defends it nicely. Roberto Gomez Bollanos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones. Jones gets tackled into the cage by Bollanos. Bollanos maintains the clinch. Bollanos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Bollanos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bollanos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Bollanos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bollanos is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bollanos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bollanos. Bollanos looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bollanos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bollanos moves into the clinch. Bollanos gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bollanos has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jones is trying to keep an underhook but Bollanos manages to get the takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bollanos is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Jones trying to control but Bollanos postures up.
Bollanos misses with a head shot. Jones uses the momentum to regain guard. Bollanos postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones wasn't active enough on the ground. No luck for Bollanos with that takedown attempt. Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bollanos shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Bollanos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bollanos wants to land a leg kick but Jones is out of range. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Bollanos, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bollanos is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Bollanos circles away and we're back to standing. Jones shoots in but Bollanos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Bollanos shows good takedown defense. Bollanos moves into the clinch. Bollanos manages to break the clinch.
Bollanos with a jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bollanos instigates a clinch. Bollanos pressing his opponent against the cage. Jones looking for a takedown. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bollanos manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Gomez Bollanos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bollanos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jon Jones has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones. Horrible takedown by Bollanos or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones shoots in for a double leg but Bollanos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Roberto Gomez Bollanos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones. Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bollanos. Jones is breathing heavily. Bollanos throws a one two combo.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bollanos.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Roberto Gomez Bollanos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bollanos scores with a one two! Jones had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A head kick misses from Bollanos. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones. A solid leg kick lands there for Bollanos.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bollanos goes for a small jab and connects. Now Bollanos goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Jones stumbles back but Bollanos runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Jones to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Jones will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nxon fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Voynov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Voynov lands in his opponent's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nxon keeping moving, preventing Voynov from controlling successfully. Nxon is looking for a triangle but Voynov pushes his legs off easily.
Voynov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nxon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Voynov has Nxon in his guard. Nxon drops back looking for a leg! Voynov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Voynov manages to kick Nxon off! Nxon jumps back into Voynov's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voynov keeping full guard, as Nxon tries to pass. Voynov is trying to keep Nxon in close.
Nxon wants to pass the guard but Voynov is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nxon postures up in Voynov's guard and throws a big left but Voynov blocks it. Nxon wants to pass the guard but Voynov is keeping the position. Voynov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nxon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Voynov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Voynov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Voynov! Voynov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Voynov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Voynov working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nxon gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Voynov wants to stand up but Nxon has a hold of him and won't allow it. Nxon controlling the position for now. Nxon actively working from the bottom here. Voynov trying to control from half guard but Nxon is working away. Nxon has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Voynov. Oh but Nxon has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Voynov goes limp - he's gone! Nxon jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bacon to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bacon stopping the sweep attempt from Red. Red not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Red looking to control but Bacon passes into half guard.
Bacon wants to stand up but Red manages to regain full guard. Bacon stopping the sweep attempt from Red. Bacon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Red's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bacon drops an elbow to the side of Red's head. Red looking for submissions off his back. Red blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bacon. Bacon prevents Red from improving his position. Bacon sitting and controlling from the half guard. Red is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Bacon has latched onto it... Big trouble! Bacon pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Red is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Bacon!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cevada Bacon! Our winner, Cevada Bacon, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vraganza attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Vraganza will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Magalyaes misses with a takedown attempt - Vraganza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Magalyaes shoots in but Vraganza avoids the takedown attempt easily. Magalyaes misses with a takedown and Vraganza counters with a head kick that drops Magalyaes to the mat! Magalyaes scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Vraganza misses with a straight left. Magalyaes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Vraganza is looking to regain half guard here but Magalyaes keeps moving and retains side control. Vraganza is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Magalyaes has just dragged him back down to the mat. Vraganza manages to work his way to half guard, despite Magalyaes's best efforts. Vraganza wants to control but Magalyaes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Vraganza tries to roll over but Magalyaes keeps him under control. Magalyaes slows the pace down in half guard.

Magalyaes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vraganza is just riding it out for now. Magalyaes eventually gives up the hold. Magalyaes uses his free foot to push down on Vraganza's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vraganza. Vraganza is looking to get to half guard. Magalyaes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Magalyaes has control of Vraganza's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Vraganza regains control of the situation pretty easily.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Vraganza looking to pass the guard. Vraganza throws a big right hand that misses. Magalyaes has his foot on Vraganza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vraganza works his way back into a safe position though. Vraganza is in close to Magalyaes's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Vraganza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Magalyaes is keeping the position for now. Vraganza working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vraganza landing with the ground and pound. Vraganza scoring with punches to the head and body. Magalyaes preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vraganza tries to free his leg and advance position but Magalyaes is retaining full guard. Magalyaes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vraganza. Magalyaes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Vraganza loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vraganza pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Magalyaes is keeping the position for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vraganza scoring with some ground and pound. Vraganza keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Magalyaes's head. Vraganza throws a big elbow that misses. Magalyaes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vraganza is aware though and is defending well. Magalyaes is breathing heavily. Magalyaes keeping moving, preventing Vraganza from controlling successfully. Vraganza in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Magalyaes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Vraganza won't allow Magalyaes to sweep him here. Vraganza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magalyaes swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vrando Vraganza dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vraganza throws a sloppy head kick and Magalyaes moves out of range easily. Magalyaes fails with the takedown and Vraganza counters with a straight right hand. Oh Magalyaes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Magalyaes fails with a takedown attempt. Magalyaes seems to have got his legs back now. Vraganza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Vraganza lands a big head kick that sends Magalyaes to the canvas! Vraganza follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vrando Vraganza! Vrando Vraganza took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vancan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Vancan distracts Calcavante with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vancan lands a couple of digs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vancan distracts Calcavante with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vancan arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Calcavante's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Raider Vancan! After the fight, Raider Vancan was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
