Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ox Bunyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gringo Killer! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bunyan shoots for a double leg takedown but Killer sprawls well. He's pushed Bunyan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Killer tries for a takedown but Bunyan circles away easily and Bunyan counters with a shoot takedown. Killer fights it but they end up in guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Bunyan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Killer working a defensive guard here.
Bunyan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Killer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bunyan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Bunyan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bunyan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Killer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Killer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bunyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bunyan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bunyan won't allow Killer to sweep him here. The ref stands the fighters back up because Ox Bunyan just wasn't active enough. The fight stays on the outside here - Killer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bunyan pinned against the cage. Bunyan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bunyan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Killer is trying to defend but Bunyan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bunyan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bunyan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Killer's head. This has been an exciting period of action! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bunyan connects with a nice short shot to Killer's temple. Bunyan working Killer over with strikes. Killer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bunyan. Killer wants to control but Bunyan is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Killer has hold of Bunyan's hands but Bunyan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Killer throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Killer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bunyan perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Killer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Bunyan winds up and cracks Killer with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ox Bunyan dominated that round. That's time! Bunyan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bunyan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Killer's guard. Bunyan is pushing down on Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Bunyan has managed to sneak the leg through. Bunyan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Killer is looking for a sweep. Bunyan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bunyan is nestled in close to Killer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Bunyan is controlling the pace.

Ox Bunyan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bunyan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bunyan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Killer is trying to maintain the position but Bunyan is very close to passing his half guard. Bunyan scoring with strikes to the body and head. Bunyan passes the guard and advances to mount! Killer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bunyan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Killer looks a forlorn figure.
Killer wants to hold on but Bunyan pushes him away. Bunyan is landing with some decent strikes but Killer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killer is in all sorts of trouble here.
Killer is breathing heavily. Bunyan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Killer looks a forlorn figure.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Killer is in a horrible position here. Bunyan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Killer is rocked! Killer is working to get back to half guard.

Killer is still in real trouble! Can Bunyan finish him? Bunyan putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bunyan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bunyan landing strikes from the mount and Killer is in trouble! A big strike lands for Bunyan! That's really hurt Killer and he's turned his back - Bunyan keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Bunyan jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bartnik. Bartnik looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Bartnik drives through and ends up in Silva's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bartnik drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silva! Silva content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bartnik is trying to work for a sweep but Silva has mounted him! Bartnik is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bartnik wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Bartnik staying busy and making it hard for Silva to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bartnik. Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Bartnik! Can he survive? No! He's out! Silva gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
