Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Bob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hammer Fist! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fist throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bob. Fist throws an off balance right hand
and Bob counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bob shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fist swivels though and keeps the full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bob accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fist is adopting a defensive guard. Bob scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bob lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fist is looking for a triangle but Bob pushes his legs off easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bob in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Fist looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Bob throws a big elbow that misses. Bob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fist has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bob has managed to get both his arms back between Fist's legs - danger averted. Bob stopping the sweep attempt from Fist. Fist keeping moving, preventing Bob from controlling successfully.

Bob postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bob landing with the ground and pound. Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Fist is retaining full guard. Fist manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bob tries to hold on but Fist pushes him away. Bob really wants to buck Fist off and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fist looking to control but Bob is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bob tries to lock up and control but Fist gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Fist there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Fist wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Fist is looking to take Bob's back but instead Bob gets back to half guard. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fist not doing much here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fist changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Sloppy strikes from Bob. Those never looked like landing. Bob tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fist sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bob somewhat. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bob shoots in for a takedown but Fist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fist swings for the body but Bob moves out of range.

Fist throws a jab when Bob was well out of range. Bob walks into a stiff left hand from Fist. Fist rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bob moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bob avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bob shoots in and drives through. Fist sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fist misses with a body shot.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Bob will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bob shoots in for a double leg but Fist sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bob takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fist connects with a crisp jab. Bob throws a right and a left that both miss. Bob misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fist.
Bob with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fist to score with a decent uppercut. Fist connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Fist thows a left - swing and a miss! Bob ducks under a wild hook from Fist. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fist. Fist throws out a loose jab but Bob uses good head movement to avoid it. Fist throws a right and a left that Bob avoids nicely. Billy Bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fist on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bob avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bob takes one to the chin there. Bob lands a jab-cross combination. Bob drives through with a takedown into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fist is on top in guard.
Fist looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bob would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Fist controls Bob momentarily but Bob frees himself. Bob throws a big elbow that misses. Fist trying to control the position.
Billy Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bob postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fist trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob chips away with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bob postures up in Fist's guard and throws a big left but Fist blocks it. Fist is controlling Bob's posture. Fist preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Bob won't allow Fist to sweep him here. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob postures up.

Fist tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bob is in Fist's guard. Bob stands up from guard. Let's bang! Fist thuds a left hand into Bob's body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fist swinging wildly here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fist misses with a wild combination.
Fist fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bob on the side of the head. Bob attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Bob will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fist throws a right hand that Bob ducks under and follows up with a left that Bob also avoids with ease. Fist lands a left and a right that send Bob crashing to the mat, dazed. Fist thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Bob is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fist digs a good hook to Bob's body.
Oh Bob is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Fist closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Bob! Fist dives in looking to finish! Bob is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasvo throws a nice looking combination but Bilashki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kasvo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kasvo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Bilashki fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bilashki shoots for a double leg takedown but Kasvo sprawls well. He's pushed Bilashki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kasvo lands a head shot. Bilashki tries to clinch there but Kasvo circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kasvo walks into a jab. Kasvo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kasvo fails to land with a series of punches.

Bilashki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kasvo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bilashki moves away. Nice body punch from Kasvo. Bilashki tries to clinch up and Kasvo counters with a shoot takedown. Bilashki fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kasvo won't allow Bilashki to get back to his feet. Bilashki has momentary wrist control but Kasvo slips an elbow through the middle. Kasvo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kasvo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bilashki dives on top into guard. Bilashki won't allow Kasvo to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kasvo has his foot on Bilashki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bilashki works his way back into a safe position though. Kasvo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bilashki is one step ahead there. Kasvo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bilashki stacks Kasvo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bilashki! Kasvo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kasvo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bilashki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Bilashki tries to stand but Kasvo is controlling his head. Bilashki decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bilashki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kasvo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
No joy there for Kasvo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bilashki enables Kasvo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bilashki manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kasvo passes Bilashki's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kasvo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kasvo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bilashki with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kasvo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bilashki doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kasvo. Kasvo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kivi Kasvo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kasvo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Yarbourgh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Anderson is trying to control Yarbourgh's posture but Yarbourgh avoids it. Yarbourgh controls the position. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matrix loads up on a big right hand but Green slips the punch. Green forces Matrix back against the cage and clinches. Matrix is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Green tries to break the clinch but Matrix is controlling the position. Green's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Green fails with an attempt to clinch.
Green moves to clinch but Matrix breaks away and Matrix counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Green trying to control from the bottom.
Matrix not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Green trying to hold on to Matrix's head to control him but Matrix postures up.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Jonhson in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Barry drives through and clinches with Jonhson against the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fekt catches Uzi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Kurt Uzi has been cut. Fekt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Uzi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fekt doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Fekt is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fekt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Uzi looks to land a combination but Fekt avoids it well. Fekt darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Fekt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Uzis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Kurt Uzi's cut is getting worse. Fekt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Uzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Fekt. Fekt missing with a left hand there. Uzi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fekt misses the shot to the body. Fekt throws a low kick but Uzi moves out of range easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fekt misses with an uppercut. Fekt has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Fekt blocks a head kick by Uzi.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Uzi ducks under a wild hook from Fekt. Fekt lands a big head kick that sends Uzi tumbling to the mat! Fekt takes a step backwards and waves Uzi back to his feet - he wants the finish! Fekt will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fekt throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Fekt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Uzi. Uzi circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kurt Uzi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Uzi misses with a low kick. Fekt is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Uzi hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

It looks like Sub Artist has been cut. Hallestrom looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Artist works Hallestrom's body with a nice hook. Artist is looking to chop away at Hallestrom's legs. Hallestrom takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hallestrom throws a head kick but Artist moves out of range.
Artist lands a lovely overhand right. Hallestrom with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Artist to score with a decent uppercut. Hallestrom looks to land a right hand but Artist moved out of range. Hallestrom misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hallestrom throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hallestrom takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Artist looks to land a left hand but Hallestrom moved out of range nicely. A telegraphed right hand from Artist misses the target. A big right from Artist misses. A left and a right from Artist both land. Nice combination. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! He turns his back on Artist, trying to create some distance but Artist rushes him, striking wildly and Hallestrom goes down! The referee tackles Artist into the cage to end the fight! Artist is one violent man!

Puska stuns Key with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Puska fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Key swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Puska seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Key does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Puska is working for a kimura but Key is defending it quite comfortably.
Puska wants to take a breather but Key is having none of it. Puska seems to be looking for submissions.

Puska throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Puska is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Puska is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puska avoids the attempt from Key to control. Puska wants to control the pace but Key is squirming around nicely. Puska throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Key gets back to half guard. Key is looking to escape. Key won't allow Puska to pass to mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Puska is working for a submission of some sort.

Puska pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Puska fails with a takedown attempt. Key scores with a crisp jab that stopped Puska in his tracks. Puska throws a body kick that misses. Key swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Key swings widly with a right hand
and Puska counters with a thumping low kick. Nice jab there from Key. Key uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Puska. Puska throws a shot to the body.
Puska feints a jab promting Key to slip. Puska then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Key slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Key jabbing away but nothing is landing. Puska misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Key.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Puska. Key can't do much from the bottom here. Mike Puska overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Puska working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Key is looking for a sweep. Key struggling a bit here. Puska has an Americana. Key didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Puska is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Puska hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
