Batungbakal fails to land with a series of punches.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Batungbakal crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Thorpe - the referee stops the clock and Batungbakal gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Thorpe. Batungbakal manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Batungbakal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thorpe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Batungbakal scrambles back to his feet.

Batungbakal walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Thorpe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Batungbakal doesn't seem bothered though.

Thorpe cracks Batungbakal's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Batungbakal slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Thorpe can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Russo drops his hands momentarily. Oakley doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Russo staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Russo doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Yu tries to clinch up but Ray circles away and keeps his distance.

Yu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ray has managed to free his arm - good work.
Ray is trying to control but can't.
Ray wants to get back to full guard but Yu has passed into side control.

Yu is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Ray parries the strikes from Yu easily there. Yu is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ray to escape.
Ray tries to buck Yu off but Yu is having none of it.
Ray is trying to control Yu's posture but Yu avoids it.
Ray is looking to regain half guard here but Yu keeps moving and retains side control.

Ray is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ray throws a hook but Yu blocks it.
Yu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ray had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Ray leaves Yu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ray misses with a straight right.

Yu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Ray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ray stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Yu.
An inside leg kick from Yu misses.
Yu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

That has opened up Jack Yu's cut even more.
Yu throws a nice looking combination but Ray bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yu moves out of range of the strikes.
Ray cracks a nice hook into Yu's ribs.
Ray misses with a two punch combination.
Danga de danga de dang - Ray scores with a four punch combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ray misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yu blocks a jab.
Yu sizes up Ray with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ray throws a jab but it's blocked by Yu.
A lazy left from Yu finds it's target.
Ray gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ray walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jayden Ray will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jack Yu's cut.
That's time! Ray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ray rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ray lands a left and a right that send Yu crashing to the mat, dazed. Ray thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yu throws a shot to the body.
Yu is still on wobbly legs! Can Ray finish him?
Yu fails with the takedown.
Ray fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Yu to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Yu looks to clinch but Ray throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Yu taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Jayden Ray thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
