The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edmonds defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lassnig.

Lassnig throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Edmonds's waist but Edmonds gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lassnig off to one side.

Edmonds shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lassnig sprawls well. Lassnig wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Edmonds gets slowly back to his feet.
Edmonds fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lassnig.
Edmonds is breathing heavily.

Edmonds is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lassnig gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bernd Lassnig has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Edmonds.
