Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kima throws a hook but Gautier blocks it.
Kima avoids the head kick by Gautier.
Kima digs a good hook to Gautier's body.

It looks like Leon Gautier has been cut.
Kima cracks Gautier with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kima is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kima stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gautier to get to his feet.
Kima shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Gautier takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Kima sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Gautier bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gibson.
Gibson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Allin just misses with a punch to the body.
Allin moves out of range as Gibson strikes.
Allin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gibson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Allin tries to avoid it but Gibson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Allin to the ground. Allin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gibson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

It looks like Mark Gibson has been cut.
Allin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gibson manages to avoid it.
Allin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gibson.
Mark Gibson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gibson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Allin was well out of range. Poor timing from Gibson.
Allin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gibson.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Allin tries to close the distance and clinch but Gibson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Allin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gibson is working away from the top position though.
Gibson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Allin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Allin looks like he's trying to stand up.
Allin is not content to let Gibson control the position.
Gibson is taking a breather. Allin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gibson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

After winning the bout, Merle Allin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
