The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azinger throws a push kick but Evans slaps the foot to one side.
Evans lands with a hook. Azinger tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Azinger swings for the body but Evans moves out of range.
Azinger checks a low kick from Evans.
Azinger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Paul Azinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Evans shoots in and drives through. Azinger sprawls well.
Evans moves away from the strike by Azinger.
Azinger keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Evans uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Azinger.
Evans closes this distance looking for a takedown but Azinger circles away.
Azinger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Evans.

Azinger dropped down on all fours and is barking in Evans's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
