0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Omicron Perseifive! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perseifive falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sloan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sloan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Sloan trying to control but Perseifive is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perseifive is working an open guard so Sloan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Perseifive tries to bum rush Sloan with a series of wild strikes but Sloan uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sloppy strikes from Perseifive. Those never looked like landing. Perseifive tries to keep at a distance but Sloan has taken the fight into the clinch. Sloan jumps guard and drags Perseifive to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Sloan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloan keeping moving, preventing Perseifive from controlling successfully. Sloan being controlled here, momentarily. Perseifive has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sloan to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Perseifive is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sloan pulls down on the head and he's put Perseifive to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vieira throws a low kick but it's checked well by Matusow. The fight stays on the outside here - Vieira looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vieira doesn't manage to clinch there - Matusow circles away.

Vieira fails with the takedown and Matusow counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Matusow thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Vieira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Matusow performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Matusow's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Vieira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matusow is working away from the top position though.

Cruz is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Melker has control of Cruz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cruz regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Parker misses with a right hand and Relvas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Relvas drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Relvas as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Parker screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Relvas! Nice submission victory there!

Seed jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mondeux walks away with a smile on his face. Seed gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mondeux will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mondeux tries to clinch but Seed moves out of range. Seed has Mondeux up against the cage in a clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Abate blocks the low kick. Abate misses the jab. Marijuano blocks a low kick nicely. Abate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Abate stands up and beckons Marijuano to his feet. Marijuano tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Marijuano throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Abate was covering up waiting for the punch and Marijuano finishes the takedown easily into guard. Marijuano trying to control but Abate is working from the bottom.
