The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pirinen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pejkaiya to the mat! Pejkaiya manages to get full guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Pejkaiya is trying to control the position but Pirinen postures up. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Espinosa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Espinosa throws an off balance right hand
and Espinosa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Espinosa pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bombada back to the cage. Espinosa follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Bombada avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bombada ducks under a wild hook from Espinosa. Espinosa throws a hook but Bombada avoids it easily. Espinosa throws a front kick that sends Bombada stumbling back into the cage. Bombada throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas blocks a jab. Thomas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pearsen was covering up waiting for the punch and Thomas finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Pearsen is looking to stand up but Thomas isn't so interested in that idea. Thomas throws a big elbow that misses. Pearsen wants to sweep here but Thomas controlling him for the moment. Thomas trying to control but Pearsen is working from the bottom. Thomas is really struggling to control Pearsen but he's trying to hold on to the position. Pearsen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Pearsen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pearsen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thomas is one step ahead there.

Silsa distracts Costanza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jucci looks to score with a jab to the body but Rua is just out of range. Jucci dips to his left and cracks Rua with an uppercut! Jucci throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rua counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jucci misses with a low kick as Rua jumps back. Jucci takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Rua counters with a three punch combo that has Jucci backing up. Jucci nods at Rua to acknowledge the strikes. Rua walks into a stiff left hand from Jucci. Jucci lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Rua looks winded! Jucci swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jucci comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jucci fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Jucci lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rua at a distance.
