8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Evans! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ak wants to clinch and Evans counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ak fails to land the takedown. Ak misses with an uppercut. Ak throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Ak shoots in for a takedown but Evans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jab by Evans. Evans takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Evans fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ak on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ak fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ak misses with a low kick. Ak tries to close the distance and clinch but Evans swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Evans takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ak shoots in for a takedown but Evans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Ak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ak misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Ak is looking for a sweep. Evans is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ak is trying to control but can't.

Ak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though. Evans landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Evans is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ak is controlling him. Ak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ak misses the jab. Ak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ak misses with a head shot. Evans uses the momentum to regain guard. Evans wants to sweep here but Ak controlling him for the moment. Ak is looking to advance position but Evans has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans trying to control but Ak is having none of it. Evans pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Ak gets back to half guard. Evans is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ak has managed to free his arm - good work. Ak manages to get to full guard.

Evans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ak. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ak swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans lands a jab. Evans lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A telegraphed right hand from Ak misses the target. Evans connects with a looping right hand.
Evans does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Marcus Evans seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ak scores with a leg kick.

Ak throws the kick towards the body but Evans avoids it. Evans on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ak. Ak obviously looking to wear him down.

Ak looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A shot to the liver by Evans. Beautiful body shot. Ak is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ak drives through and clinches with Evans against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Evans is struggling to control the position. Evans presses Ak against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Evans lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ak backwards.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Evans comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Evans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soprano takes a swing at Backer's ribcage but misses. Soprano tries to score with a low kick but Backer moves his leg out of the way. Soprano's corner calls for a 1-2. Soprano obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Soprano throws the left hand but Backer avoids the punch easily. Backer throws a sloppy head kick and Soprano counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Soprano prevents Backer from standing back up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearsen gets a clinch. Pearsen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hefner doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pearsen counters with a nice uppercut. Hefner moves into the clinch. A short left from Hefner. Pearsen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hefner blocks it with crossed arms. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. A quick uppercut on the inside from Pearsen. Pearsen content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hefner throws a head punch that misses. Hefner tries to stall but Pearsen uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Finn throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it. Smith cracks Finn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Finn has a takedown stuffed. Finn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Finn lands in his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Finn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Finn postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Finn won't allow Smith to sweep him here. Finn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Finn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Smith wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Finn is now in half guard. Finn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Smith's head. Finn moves nicely into side control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Smith is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Finn loads up on a big left hand. Smith felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Finn looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Smith can't hide his disappointment, as Finn celebrates the victory.
