Shirahama pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Duberry is in a horrible position here. Shirahama smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Duberry is squirming around, avoiding Shirahama's attempts to control the action.

Kenichi Shirahama dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Duberry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shirahama was well out of range. Poor timing from Duberry.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Duberry, as that shot connected.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duberry. Shirahama does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Shirahama counters with a low kick, right behind Duberry 's knee.
Duberry misses with an uppercut. Shirahama saw that one coming.

Duberry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Shirahama blocks a head kick by Duberry.
Shirahama on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Duberry. Duberry obviously looking to wear him down.

Fidel Duberry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Duberry takes a swing at Shirahama's ribcage but misses.
Duberry throws a lazy right hand but Shirahama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fidel Duberry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shirahama moves out of range as Duberry throws a body kick.
Duberry does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Duberry fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Duberry shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Duberry connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Duberry misses the jab.

Good work by Shirahama as he checks the leg kick.
Shirahama catches Duberry with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Duberry tries to buck Shirahama off but Shirahama is having none of it.
Duberry is trying to control Shirahama's posture but Shirahama avoids it.
Duberry is looking to regain half guard here but Shirahama keeps moving and retains side control.
Shirahama in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Shirahama postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Duberry is looking for a sweep.

Duberry tries to escape but Shirahama is in control.
Duberry is looking to reverse the position.
Shirahama creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Duberry sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Shirahama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shirahama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Duberry is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Shirahama has hold of Duberry's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Duberry tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shirahama cranks the arm and Duberry screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Duberry, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

A relieved looking Kenichi Shirahama thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
