The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larsen moves into the clinch. Jackson keeps control of Larsen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jackson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jackson tries to break free but Larsen pushes him back against the cage. Larsen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jackson.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Larsen defends it well. Larsen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jackson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Larsen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jackson in particular looking to stall. Larsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson is working for a kimura but Larsen is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Larsen tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Richards. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Richards. Richards throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slapping body kick lands there for Richards. Some bone on bone action there as Richards checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Richards loads up on a big right hand but McQueen slips the punch. Richards looks to land a right hand but McQueen moved out of range. McQueen on the wrong end of a nice hook. McQueen avoids a lazy jab quite easily. McQueen ducks right into an uppercut from Richards. Richards misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McQueen drops Richards with a nice combination! McQueen dives into Richards's guard, looking to finish!
It looks like Rex Richards has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Richards escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McQueen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McQueen is stalling in the full guard. Richards throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
McQueen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McQueen scoring with punches to the head and body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Richards is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McQueen defends well. Richards has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McQueen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McQueen trying to control the position from guard on top but Richards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McQueen postures up in Richards's guard and throws a big left but Richards blocks it. McQueen stands up over Richards, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Richards is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richards is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McQueen is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McQueen advances to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McQueen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. McQueen postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Richards to stand up. Richards thows a body shot but no joy. McQueen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Richards is rocked! McQueen lands a strong strike to the head of Richards. That's dazed him! McQueen looking to finish here. Richards is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - McQueen lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landeverde moves into range and clinches up with Roach. Landeverde is pressed up against the cage. Roach has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Landeverde down to the mat. Landeverde avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Landeverde shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Roach manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Landeverde trying to control but Roach is working from the bottom. Landeverde throws a strike but Roach rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Roach pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Good work there from Roach! Roach is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Landeverde is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Landeverde wants to control but Roach postures up. Roach wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Landeverde, who protects the arm well. Roach is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Landeverde knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Landeverde is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Roach couldn't care less - he's delighted!

The Bouncer throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

The Bouncer loads up on a big right hand but Brandao slips the punch. The Bouncer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brandao might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. The Bouncer blocks a jab. Brandao throws the left hand but The Bouncer avoids the punch easily. Brandao throws a lazy right hand but The Bouncer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. The Bouncer ducks under a wild hook from Brandao. Brandao swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Nice jab there from The Bouncer. Brandao tests The Bouncer's chin there with a solid looking shot. The Bouncer swinging wildly here.
Brandao misses with a straight left. Brandao takes one on the button. Brandao jabs The Bouncer right on the nose. The Bouncer blinks but takes it well. Brandao closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice uppercut lands for The Bouncer. That snapped Brandao's head back.
Brandao is rocked! The Bouncer sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Brandao's defenses. It connects perfectly with Brandao's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kraal The Bouncer! Kraal The Bouncer really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Pirates Powder logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taker with a lazy takedown attempt and Maia counters with a lovely shot to the body. Taker throws a sloppy body shot
and Maia counters with a nice body shot. Taker moves into the clinch. Taker tries for a takedown. No joy.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Maia. Maia tries to break the clinch but Taker is controlling the position. Taker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Taker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Maia blocks it with crossed arms. Nice body punch from Maia. Taker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Demon Maia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Taker. Maia makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Maia is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Taker is keeping busy. A body shot lands from Maia.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maia is on top in guard.

and Maia counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Taker thinking. Taker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Maia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Taker. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Maia leaves Taker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Taker fails with the takedown and Maia counters with a right hand to the body. Maia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Taker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Taker is trying to trip Maia. He has hold of a leg but Maia is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Taker persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Maia uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Maia counters with a lovely shot to the body. Taker with a lazy takedown attempt and Maia makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Taker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Taker avoids a kick to the body.

Taker is looking to clinch. Maia fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Taker has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Maia tries a head kick but it misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taker shoots in for a takedown but Maia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maia pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maia stuns Taker with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Taker throws a combination that misses and Maia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
