The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gunn looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Creed lands a nice shot to the body.
Gunn tries for a takedown but Creed sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Creed connects with a body shot.
Creed works Gunn's body with a nice hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunn takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Creed misses with a wild body shot.
Creed sends Gunn crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Creed is motioning to the referee to let Gunn up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut.
Creed lands with a shot to the body.
Creed scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Creed digs a good body shot into Gunn's ribs.
Some wild striking there from Creed.

Gunn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Creed.
Creed is looking to wear down Gunn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Creed scores with a jab.
Creed could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Creed swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Creed throws a body punch but Gunn moves out of range.
Creed keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Creed lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Gunn up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Creed from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Gunn's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Apollo Creed!
Apollo Creed retains his heavyweight title!
Post fight, Apollo Creed stared into the camera and said 'Im back, bitches!'.

Catch looks to land a combination but Liddel avoids it well.
Liddel looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Catch fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Catch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Liddel sprawls well. Liddel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Catch gets slowly back to his feet.
Catch misses with a body kick.
Catch throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Liddel counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Liddel misses the target.
Liddel looks to score with a jab to the body but Catch is just out of range.
Catch misses with a wild combination.
Catch looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddel gets caught flat footed, as Catch shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Catch showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. mr Catch hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Catch throws a nice looking combination but Liddel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Catch shoots in but no luck this time.
Catch tries for a takedown but Liddel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Chck Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mr Catch.
Catch thows a left - swing and a miss!
Catch gets a takedown into half guard.
Catch is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Catch tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Catch lands a nice shot to the head.
Catch working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Liddel turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Catch off and cradles Liddel's limp body as Catch celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). mr Catch!
