The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spight bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jo's head backwards. Spight swinging wildly here.
Jo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Spight on his heels. He'll look to pass Spight's guard now, I'm sure. Spight keeping full guard, as Jo tries to pass. Spight keeping moving, preventing Jo from controlling successfully. Jo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spight is keeping the position for now. Roussimoff tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tennant was well out of range. Poor timing from Roussimoff. Tennant throws a body punch but Roussimoff moves out of range. Roussimoff takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alvarez is out of range. Gunn circles away from the clinch attempt and Gunn counters with a slapping leg kick. Alvarez misses with a hook. Alvarez swings for the body but Gunn moves out of range.
Alvarez ducks under a wild hook from Gunn. Alvarez closes the distance and clinches. Gunn tries for a takedown. No joy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alvarez pushes Gunn back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. James lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crowe! James has hold of Crowe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Crowe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
James wants to control the pace but Crowe is squirming around nicely. Crowe is looking to improve his position but James isn't that keen on the idea. James trying to control but Crowe is having none of it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James taking shots to the head.
