3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ahmad Basheer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deadguy Deftone! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deftone fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Basheer clinches up with Deftone and pushes him back against the cage. Basheer gets control of Deftone's arms and successfully pulls guard. Basheer will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Deftone wants to stand and escape but instead Basheer has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Basheer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deftone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Basheer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Basheer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Basheer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Deftone wanted to stand there but Basheer had control of the position. Basheer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Deftone can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Basheer manages to escape and get back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ernie drives through with a takedown into McBain's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. McBain scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ernie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McBain's waist but McBain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ernie off to one side. Nice takedown defense from McBain. No joy for Ernie on that attempt. Ernie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McBain as he avoids it easily. Peter McBain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bert Ernie. Ernie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ernie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McBain takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

McBain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McBain shoots in and drives through. Ernie sprawls well. Ernie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McBain but McBain pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peter McBain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. McBain escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McBain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McBain throws a wild body kick that Ernie sees coming a mile off. McBain is looking to wear down Ernie with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. McBain stuffs the takedown attempt from Ernie. Ernie gets slowly back to his feet. McBain lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McBain. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ernie is trying hard to land a takedown here. McBain sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kokov thows a body shot but no joy. Bomba scores with a three punch combo!
Kokov throws the left hand but Bomba avoids the punch easily. Bomba bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bomba misses with a head kick.
Kokov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bomba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bomba scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Bomba scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bomba throws out a leg kick but Kokov moves out of range and Bomba only half commits. Bomba is looking to clinch. Bomba forces Kokov back against the cage and clinches. Kokov is trying to force a seperation but Bomba has the dominant position. Bomba escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kokov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bomba.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kokov wants it to stay on the feet. Bomba tries for a takedown but Kokov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hu Kokov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grzegorz Bomba. No joy there for Bomba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kokov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kokov throws a big shot that misses. Bomba misses with a low kick.

Kokov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bomba cracks the inside of Kokov's front leg. Bomba pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kokov back to the cage. Bomba follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Kokov slaps away a takedown attempt from Bomba, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hu Kokov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grzegorz Bomba. Kokov misses with an attempted mid kick.
Bomba gets caught flat footed, as Kokov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kokov postures up in Bomba's guard and throws a big left but Bomba blocks it. Bomba tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bomba has his foot on Kokov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kokov works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kokov trying to control the position from guard on top but Bomba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bomba has a closed guard, preventing Kokov from standing up. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bomba wants to control the position but Kokov says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bomba looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Bomba looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Kokov pushes past his half guard into mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kokov with the ground and pound from mount. Bomba is looking to get to half guard. Kokov tries to control but Bomba wriggling away. Kokov working the ground and pound effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bomba tries to reverse the position but Kokov maintains control. Kokov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Bomba lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kokov circles away quickly and effectively. Nice jab there from Bomba. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bomba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A combination from Bomba does no damage. Kokov is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bomba's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Kokov misses with a hook
and Bomba counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hu Kokov will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Kokov clobbers Bomba with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Bomba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kokov as he jumps to the side. Bomba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kokov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Bomba thows a left - swing and a miss! Bomba tries a head kick but it misses.
Kokov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bomba sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kokov misses with a body shot.
Kokov cracks Bomba with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kokov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kokov scores with a jab to the body. Bomba looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kokov! Kokov is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bomba moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Kokov is not content to let Bomba control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. You can see the frustration on Kokov's face as Bomba controls the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Grzegorz Bomba. Bomba clinches with his opponent.
Bomba throws a punch but it's blocked by Kokov. Kokov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bomba lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kokov backwards. Bomba misses with a hook to the ribs.

Bomba tried to score with a low kick but Kokov checks it. Bomba darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kokov throws out a loose jab but Bomba uses good head movement to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bomba lands with a nice combination. Kokov backs away looking to recover. Kokov lands with a good body shot. Bomba tries to close the distance and clinch but Kokov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Grzegorz Bomba. Well Bomba has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Little is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Smalls is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Little advances nicely into full mount. Little prevents Smalls from getting the reversal. Little moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Smalls has worked his arm free - good work by Smalls!
Little creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Little passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Smalls! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Little trying to control but Smalls is having none of it. Smalls is trying to escape the mount.

I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Little with him. Little is trying to defend but Smalls has an arm under the chin now! Little grimaces and is forced to tap out!

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Maccarone throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A slow jab from Maccarone misses its intended target. Liddell moves out of range as Maccarone throws a body kick.

He's pushed ORourke off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! ORourke screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
