2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Philmore Butts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Onassis! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Roberts and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butts lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Butts tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Onassis was well out of range. Poor timing from Butts. Onassis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Butts sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Butts throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Onassis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A cross from Butts lands. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Butts misses with a series of wild punches.
Sloppy strikes from Butts. Those never looked like landing. Butts throws a series of punches but Onassis avoids them all with ease. Onassis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Butts moves into range and connects with a jab. Butts rushes Onassis with punches - Onassis moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Onassis goes down! Butts follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Philmore Butts! A less than humble Philmore Butts misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffman misses with the combination.
Manninen clinches. Manninen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Manninen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hoffman after a bit of a struggle. Manninen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Manninen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Manninen shoots in and drives through. Hoffman sprawls well. Manninen shoots in but Hoffman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jack Hoffman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Manninen. A good leg kick by Manninen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoffman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Manninen counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Manninen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Manninen won't allow Hoffman to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manninen stands and steps away. Hoffman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Manninen tries a head kick but it misses.
Hoffman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Hoffman throws a series of punches but Manninen avoids them all with ease. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Manninen checks a leg kick nicely. Jack Hoffman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Manninen moves into the clinch. Manninen gets control of Hoffman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Manninen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hoffman wanted to stand there but Manninen had control of the position. Manninen wants to stand and escape but Hoffman is having none of it. Hoffman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Hoffman tries to stand but Manninen is controlling from the bottom. Hoffman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Manninen on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoffman trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Manninen controls Hoffman momentarily but Hoffman frees himself. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hoffman wants to get up but he can't break Manninen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Manninen takes a shot right to the bread basket. Hoffman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hoffman avoids the head kick by Manninen.
Hoffman feints a jab promting Manninen to slip. Hoffman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Manninen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Matt Manninen has been cut. Hoffman misses with a low kick.
Hoffman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hoffman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Manninen misses with a body kick. Manninen shoots in for a takedown but Hoffman shows good takedown defense. Hoffman lands a nice shot to the body.
Hoffman pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Manninen back to the cage. Hoffman follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Manninen looks winded! Hoffman takes a swing at Manninen's ribcage but misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Hoffman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hoffman throws a right hand that Manninen ducks under and follows up with a left that Manninen also avoids with ease. Manninen clinches with his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manninen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hoffman just stands there and leans against the cage. Jack Hoffman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Manninen. Manninen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hoffman avoids it. Manninen is trying to pull guard but Hoffman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Manninen manages to break the clinch.

Hoffman jabs at Manninen's body. Hoffman scores with a decent looking hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoffman connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Manninen to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Hoffman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore looks to clinch and Lopez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lopez sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Moore defending well though. Moore won't allow Lopez to pass to mount. Lopez prevents Moore from standing back up.
Moore is pressing down on Lopez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Moore keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lopez with a flurry of punches that miss. Lopez wants to pass the guard but Moore is keeping the position. Lopez prevents Moore from getting back to his feet. Moore keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully. Moore can't keep his opponent in guard - Lopez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Derick Moore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tony Lopez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bangura Bangura tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bangura Bangura with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling White to score with a decent uppercut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bangura Bangura.
Bangura Bangura motions for White to come forward. Bangura Bangura throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bangura Bangura takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Horrible takedown by Delaroca or perhaps it was just good defense by Pukki which made him look bad. Pukki lands a jab to the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Delaroca throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Delaroca connects with a looping right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lolo Delaroca. I think Delaroca has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Finch is keen to just control but Granite is a slippery customer. Finch is nestled in close to Granite, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Finch slips a nice elbow through Granite's hands, connecting with Granite's forehead. Finch is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Granite sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Granite blocking the ground and pound attempt from Finch. Granite is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Finch is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Granite has managed to free his arm - good work. Nice strikes from Finch there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Finch connects with a nice short shot to Granite's temple. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Finch is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Finch throwing shots but Granite is blocking nicely. Finch winds up and cracks Granite with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Finch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Finch with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Finch throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Granite taking some punishment here, with Finch in his half guard. Finch is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Granite's half guard. Finch is trying to control the action in half guard but Granite is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Finch wants to free his trapped foot but Granite is holding on for dear life with his legs. Still in half guard, Finch seems content to control. Granite is not content to let Finch control the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Granite keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Finch is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Finch is keen to just control but Granite is a slippery customer. Finch is really struggling to control Granite but he's trying to hold on to the position. Granite is breathing heavily.

We're going to have a standup here because Kenny Finch wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Finch. Finch has a takedown stuffed. Finch shoots in looking for a takedown but Granite manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Finch's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Finch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Finch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Finch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Granite keeps working. Finch trying to control from Granite's half guard. Granite has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Finch looking to pass the guard. Finch wants to stand but Granite has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Finch moves into full mount! Granite won't be happy about that! Finch cracks Granite with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Finch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Granite looks a forlorn figure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adwamba tries to clinch up. Adwamba avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Adwamba moves in looking to clinch but Gnata pushes him off. Adwamba showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gnata.
The fight stays on the outside here - Adwamba looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gnata fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adwamba manages to avoid it. Gnata throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Adwamba. Adwamba avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Adwamba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gnata paws at him with a jab and circles away. Adwamba clinches with his opponent.

Adwamba tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gnata swats him away and circles back towards the center. Adwamba's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gnata connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Adwamba scrambles back to his feet.
Adwamba is rocked! Gnata will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gnata is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
